  1. We get two seasons a year: Rain an' storms, an some winter chill, an' Summer!

Sometimes our seasons blur all into one big season!

(We've been known t' hev t' go from heat to AC in one hour!)

Apparently, after we finish with our weather in Chicago, we send it to Texas, or vice versa...

  2. *suckin' on a delectable strawberry, an' lookin' at Capt. Morgan, meaningfully*

Ye'll hev t' ask the strawberry blonde, I jes be th' strawberry tallcake...

    I'm suddenly very hungry...

    for strawberries... :)

  3. I have a dream all the time that I'm in a fire-fight, and either my rifle won't shoot, or if it does, the bullets have no effect... from what I've been told, its a fairly common dream amongst warrior-types... always wake up in a cold sweat after that one...

  4. Aye the beef wellington looks fabulous! I'll have mine with a glass of Port, and a tankard of rum punch with my strawberry shortcake, please! What else would a strawberry blonde eat??

  5. Dang Siren... my prayers go out to you... your injuries are almost the same as mine... keep a positive mental attitude, lass, and drop me a line if you need ANYTHING... truly, I know what you're feeling, and will help however I can...

  6. I suck at posting pics, but here's what I've got...

    Pirate-y:

    -1660's doglock pistol

-1750's British Sea Service flintlock pistol

    -standard Naval cutlass

-Brown Bess musket (what the Continental Marines carried, for the most part)

    Modern:

    -Winchester Model 1866 Yellowboy (.45cal)

-Colt Single Action Army (.45 cal)

    -M1903 Springfield, dated 1918

    -M1911 (circa 1917)

    -M1 Garand (dated 1943)

    -M14 (late 60's)

    -M4A1 carbine

    -HK USP 9

The last two are my constant companions at the PD, now that we've done away with the shotguns...
