  1. :lol: Greetins there Baptiste

    Yer view of history is a fair one an I salute anyone who tries to lean from the past , that goes double fer them what learns it by livin the past . By the way there aint no history in a plastic boat an I lay to it that a ship built of wood blood an sweat is the only ones thats has got a real soul. She'll teach ye all ye needs to know about the sea . ;)

  2. :) A sailor while in a market ashore bought his self a parrot but when he got the bird home he found that it had a vocabulary to rival even the vilest of sea going men .After awhile the sailor tells the parrot that he should clean up his mouth at which point the Parrot said " SCREW YOU MATE !!! " So the sailor grabs the bird and throws him in the freezer . This only causes the parrot to curse up a blue streak and even louder yet . But just when the screachin reahed its peak it got deathly quiet in the freezer , the sailor started getting worried and he openned up the freezer only to find the bird sitting there quietly . He asked the parrot if he was going to behave and the bird replied " Yeah I'll be good I promise , and by the way What did the turkey do ..." :lol:

  3. Aye, ... Crow. I'm new in all this, and if I were new on board a ship, not knowing the ropes, then I wouldn't want to be insulting anybody. And the best way to be keeping on the good side of people, is to show them you do not think you're better than them.

    Besides, tis a fun way to be jumping in outta me charater's minds.

    Thank ye for the information.

    ~~~
    And, Cap'n of the Royaliste, I'm still not quite as good in the lingo as I could be, you're post confused me to no end.
    Scy.
    :ph34r: No insult taken Lass I were just makin sure that any folks who don't knows me don't mistake me fer a highborn lubber , what with me good looks an polished demeanor an such :ph34r: Har har har !!!
    An onboard ship there aint no one better than the other that bein one o the reasons many a gentleman o fortune has gone on account. That an some of the perks.. :)
  4. :ph34r: Ahoy there Scy I am sorry that it took this long ta answere yer querry but I have been out earnin me keep . To answere yer question the Quartermaster on pyrate ship is only second in authority to the Cap'n he manages the crew and he takes care o supplies , he is also in charge of diveeing up the booty after a prize has been taken and if said prize is in any shape to be kept the quartermaster were usually took charge of said prize. like the Cap'n the quartermaster was usually elected and acted as the crew's voice and were also responsible fer settlin dissputes among the crew.
    As to the ships articles they are a contract with rest of the crew that ye signed when you became a part of the crew defining the code of conduct while on board ship the articles also defined what yer share would be of any prize or booty taken . To break the articles while on board were punishible in many extreem and nasty a fashion . And a Pyrate can be most imaginative when it comes to settin things straight ... :)
    Iffin ye are lookin fer information this site is a good place to start an if thee are lookin fer other sites this here crew will tell thee where to go :ph34r:
    A word with thee though deary me name is only Crow sometimes Mr, Crow as I aint no royal horse ridin lubber . :ph34r:
  5. :ph34r: The Captain's wife was Mable by god she sure was able to take the crew fer a midnight screw upon the chartroom table... :(
    The Captain's name was Carter and by christ he was a farter , when the wind wouldn't blow and the ship wouldn't go it took Carter the farter to start her ... :(
  6. :) Arrgh Cap'n Gary of the Royaliste ye fergot ta mention the quarter master an his duties . And make sure that the new crew member Scy understands the ship's articles an there meanings before mark is put to parchment . I hopes ye had a good day on the water an I hope to some day sign on fer a cruise . :ph34r:
  7. :D Well capt'n Morgan its good to see that ye are a man of some wisdom after all I wishes you well with yer endevour an I hope that you learn well and fast and when ye does get a ship of yer own I hope that use it to further the dream of many who were born a century or two to late. By the bye I am just finishing off a bottle of yer rather tasty spiced rum , not bad even by my fussy standards . :D Oh by the way when ye gets on board the royalste say hello to Charlie Noble fer me .... :D
  8. I has read three of the Master comander series of books and found them to meet muster although a little tough to get into at first the readin gets easier once ye gets into the rythem of the stories. I even went to the casting call for the FSOTW when it came to Vancouver . The add said "Pretty boys need not apply so I figured I'd be a shoe in .." but I figures that mayhaps I am to pretty after all . Har Har Har !! :D Or maybe its cause they were looking to fill the last few parts and 2400 of us showed up.. Me bein #840 all I was lookin fer was the time in on the Rose and not to worried about bein in the movies like. Oh well maybe next time.. Maybe if I nocked out a few teeth and broke my nose a couple more times :D
  9. Make sure you 're talkin about the right Capt. Flint mates. I be the one who came up with me own name and didn't get it from whats my pirate name site. it seems a lot of folks are using this site for thier names and they are all bloody or iron or whatever something flint. Use your imagination people. Be a little creative. It will be more fun for you ...
    The "original " Capt. Flint
    :huh:
    :) Beggin yer pardon Cap'n as I know thee to be the one an only Cap'n Flint but this here place seems to be showing more flint than a brittish frigate . As fer imagination it is a sorry state that a feller finds hisown self in when he needs a machine to tell him who he is.. So to the real Captain Flint I says Fair winds an smooth sailin an to all you others I say ye best watch the horizon fer strange sails an black flags
    :lol:
  10. B) Well by the gods that were a eye opening cruise through the unordinary , thanks fer the course correction mate an thanks fer the info on the costuming Capt'n Roberts .... well well well that were a refreshin trip and now back to reallity ..har har har !!! B)
  11. B) All we was askin was a little news on the new ship , you knows , like where the keel is bein laid an what type o matterials is gona be used an what yard she will built in. But it seems that that there Capt'n flint is touchier than a bad tooth on the subject. An I lay to it he may just be pullin our hauser , it be up to him to prove us wrong eh lads ?
    B)
  12. :) Livin on the west coast of Canada I am fairly close to all manner of shipping but I am not sure that there are many pyrate type reinactors north of the 49th , if any one has any info I would be most beholdin to thee. It may be that I will have to travel south . Not that goin south be all that bad. :ph34r:
  13. The schooner pitched the decks awash the main truck sheared and sagged , the Cap'n bellowed " I'll see ye in hell before I strike me flag ! " So with the strength of a man gone mad the Cap'n turned the wheel and we peppered that brig with all we had chain shot an red hot steel. As we prepared to board the tattered brig me an fifty brothers we stood and cheered with mad delight to see her stike her colours..
    Just another day at the office ??? :ph34r:
  14. Well mate good sailin an fair winds an I wishes ye the best on yer birthday as a matter of fact I thinks that I'll pour me self another rum to help ye celibrate , not that I realy needs a reason ta pour me another rum but its the thought that counts.
    I wish thee good pickens on yer next cruise an remember " No Quarter Given !!! " :ph34r:
  15. The duck's foot pistol was never really ment to be a precision shootin piece but more of a deck sweeper . And it was meant to be used at close quarters so aiming wasn't really all that important. A real nasty piece of work , that is if it fired. :ph34r:
  16. :huh: Well,mr. Crow, sally on down afore cold weather, 'n have a spot on deck mate! :ph34r:  :ph34r:  :ph34r:
    I thank thee mate an if I ever gets down ta yer neck 'o thae woods I just may takes ye up on the postin on deck, or aloft or where ever you sees fit to post me . :D
