Well supposedly there is suppose to be a Capt. Jack Sparrow costume contest, so we may see several.....hmmmm have we found the end of the world? There's been several write ups about the event here in the local papers, so there should be a good size crowd to plunder.

The really sad part is when I explained that I was handicapped and I had to use a scooter to get around, I needed to be able to park it behind the booth. Then pointed to the small spot up against the road and asked where am I supposed to put it? The jerk replied to me, "Sorry it's not my problem!" That's when I told Boats to pack it up and we left.

I'm very sorry if any of you had come out to look for me, to find out I wasn't there.... Explanation: When we found out how TINY our selling space was, there was absolutely no way for me to put out my stuff to sell. Since Dawn Bradley had paid for the booth (and I to her for my half) she made do I guess. So we packed it up and came home. I can tell you I will not go to another Tall Ships at Dana Pt. again. After trying to no avail to explain we needed access all around our booth spot and allow us to move to a more decent location (where we normally had been) since there was plenty of room, but we were absolutely refused. Sorry if any of you were looking for me, the circumstances just weren't lending themselves to be there. Rumba

Right outside the front gate you'll see lots of parking and people who have motorhomes and such, that's where I'll be probably along with Kent and others from POTC - go down the road till you see the picnic table on the left and that's usually where we plop down for the weekend. Yes we've even set up our tent out there too. It's much quieter there than trying to sleep in the party/sex zone inside the camping ground for participants. Rumba

I have one of those cool things with pirate motif on it. It's great on hot days, I just throw it in a cooler with ice water and a few minutes later it's either wrapped around my head or neck. They are great! (I actually have another one that a cousin gave me, but it's not piratey so I don't use it at events) BTW- I bought mine through the No Quarter Given booth at an event.

Orderlesseye set up a Renspace account for me and for the life of me I can't remember how to get into it, how to blog or anything.....which is why it remains empty......

Buy a tent.
