  1. Wow! What a terrific job you've done! Thanks!
  2. Thanks, being blond is the reason I can walk into any wall.
  3. How about 'The Poets of the Sea' ? Just off the top of me head.....
  4. 9 out of 12 are we all missing the same questions?
  5. I tried to PM you, but kept getting an error message..... Try PMing me.
  6. Sometimes it just takes a nudge of the right kind to get me into my poetry state (thank you for the nudge Steve), sure I'd be happy to join the party.
  7. I am looking for a large amount of the plain brass buttons. Anyone know where I can purchase them? I do have a resale permit so I can buy wholesale.
  8. You should watch Andrew Zimmer on the Travel Channel with his 'Bizzare Foods'. Just about any bug is edible as are parts of an animal you would throw out....
  9. If I put my mind to it, I can be a very good poet, as some here know, But dang if I think too hard the words become slow. The lusty seas of sparkling blue in given words and colorful hue, Set my mind a thinking and eventually I'm twinkling, To cast off the doubts and spin the capstan, time to let the sails out. Rumba Ya I can do it....
  10. Just for the record: The trip we took to New Orleans and around other places was 47239 miles, it cost us just over three thousand dollars for gas!!!!!! BTW- Our total expenses for the trip were around 7 grand, half went to gas, the other half went for lodging, food, shopping. Am I willing to drive far again, uh not for a LONG time! I will tell you our 2007 Toyota Sienna minivan handled the trip without a single problem! I stand behind Toyota cars 100%, they are the least likely to have any problems.
  11. Welcome to the Pub Rory! I see you often at the events we go to and your harp playing is outstanding! Rumba Rue
  12. Oh wow! But without trying them on, due to the shape of my wide, high arched foot, it might be a problem....
  13. bbcdutch, you are just a sweetie!
  14. Eventually I will get through all the other vacation pictures and the journal I kept. When that happens, I'll direct all to wish to read and see the other pictures where that will be. Actually Pyrateleather, you were working on something when I took the picture. I made a point of trying to get vendor pictures (since I am a vendor myself at some events), because most people don't bother, so I feel I have done a great honor to those who lugged their wares to the con to sell.
  15. Thanks Michael and Count, I've recently been slammed with all kinds of people going off the deep end and all I'm trying to do is keep the peace. Sorry for my tirade.
  16. Note: Photobucket is asking people to change their passwords due to outside interferance.
  17. I discovered not too long ago that outside of Calif. many events do not supply insurance to cover the people on their property. Trust me, here in Calif. it's an absolute requirement by event people in case someone gets hurt, i.e. a guest. So I guess in many ways we are lucky out here. But I will tell you our group, Pirates of Treasure Cove has already looked into getting our own insurance.....holy rum barrels it's a major expense that no one in our group can even afford! Geeze we are still trying to get money together to buy an enclosed trailer for the group....
  18. Many pictures did not come out, but those that did are here: Pyrate Con 2008 For those who found the antique shop on Royal Street and for those who didn't get to see, have a good drool. Antique Shop
