I have a strong grip.. in a velvet glove.
literally.

I can't believe I'm thinking of this, but I found a flight for under $500 from MN to KW.. and my last big vacation was 2004 at KW. I'm just wondering about lodging and just what days do I want to be at KW?? That is for Wednesday to Monday... I would miss the Wench contest if I went Thursday, tho.. and I would have to get the time off work (damn surgery)
can anyone help me with info and lodging?

I jest love gettin ye hot and bothered. Small parts??? well I am Irish....
Irish.. are ya saying you have a leprochaun dingle?? that all us lasses have to do is grab your sprite and make a wish??
and in my usual offbeat way, may I say.. TASTE THE RAINBOW!
Ransom luv, had a weird thing happen today. I found some old mail that hadn't been opened since May. One was a check from my insurance for $250 (yeah!!) and the other a note that my mamogram was irregular and needed another shot of my chest.. it was from 4 days before I had my phone call about the cancer. If I hadnt' had the phone call to have me come in for more tests, I would have left it go for another 4 months. And this is why the rum is gone.

I should be in bed for my 5 am wake up.. but I wanted to say congrats on your home, Rumba!
Siren, you know you have my support and my good wishes.. if that can help.
Jill, sounds like a grand time! I'm sure you will remember your excitement for a long time.
anyway, I'm doing better; my tendonitis in my shoulder is going away, I dont have cancer that spread to my bones, I dont have much extra money but I can pay my bills, I have another faire this weekend and then get to see friends in MNRF the week after..
so its all good!! woohoo!

don't make me go piratical on your a$$, Jack!

not a true replica.. You have a good eye, Silkie! On the pics I got from my crew member, its not close to a replica ship and its more kids oriented, but he said was still fun.

Merrydeath sips her sangria, motions to Ray for another drink and tells the passing waitress to send over some sopapillas with chocolate.
along with the others, she will listen for a while, with her knife off peace-tie.

SeaRover, my friend! I"m glad to hear you are upright and taking (little) drinks. I guess the bribes to Neptune worked.
Heres to SeaRover and his family.. grand folk they are!
-
wow!! very nice pics... you could be a travel agent!
-
hey Doc, you didnt hold him underwater long enough.
-
a new member of my crew just went on that.. had a good time!
thanks for the links, Siren!

Love the pics!! The ship looks so great with the red sails..
excited. I am related to someone who was in the civil war. In Iowa, there wern't as many that joined, for either side, sometimes in the same family.
-
try the under ear patch too.. they have beebees in them. I hear a good trick is to see out away from the ship, say on the horizon. They do make NON-drowsy dramamine.
Good luck to ya, lass!
-
Hester.. what a mess! I do hope they fix what they broke... if not, you could make them look like cannon shot them. I know of a house or two in the south that proudly show off bullet holes.
-
Bueno, Tomas.. a glass of sangria for me, and a platter of chips and salsa from RAY..
I wonder if he'll stick his head back in and pay the tab?
-
Happy Berthday, Mate! May all the rum be free and the tack without weavils.
-
LadyB.. Good news indeed! I know you were attached to the Jeep but onwards and upwards! I'm glad you have transportation, so may be its just a moment to a job and better times.
I hope my hint at a job helps you at least for the moment. Chin up, lass.. I'm pulling for ya!

SINCE we have had trouble getting a thread of our own (dang it!!) on the crew section, I'll put this in here..
We are the Pirates of the Plains, the Corsairs of the Cornfields. The only pirate ship of pyrite, we are The Fool's Gold!
Left behind after a major typhoon, we are now based in
the Midwest. We are from Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota. You will find us marauding at movies, kidnapping kids, plundering picnics, and fooling around at fests.

Fools Gold Pirates- Pirates of the Plains Unite!
from Iowa to Indiana and parts inbetween, join the crew for fests and feasts. We are mainly in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa, but we are willing to add crew if they just want to join for a day. We have a touch of re-anactor about us, but with a pinch of fantasy to add fun. If you want to join us for the re-anactor fest in February, and possibly the Port Washinton WI fest in June, email me at yorkrose7@yahoo.com, heading Join The Crew.

I was thinking about him today.. wishing him well and hoping all went well!! Its wonderful to hear he is doing ok and on the way to a slimmer and healthier Rover.
I'll have to buy him a diet soda or tea at the faire, but I'm a happy pirate to hear the good news!!
