    Jib, that is true, and don't we look grand! I was hoping to do the fest but its the same time as another faire that is only an hour away. So, far, its won. We're letting PWF use our pics as long as they credit us. If you see something I need to look at, let me know, but they seem like a good group. I believe its the skindiving group from Port Wash that took it over.

    If things change and we come ashore, I hope some of our friends look us up at the fest.

    Pirates Choice Rum

    For anyone who enjoyed Pirate's Choice rum, I have some bad news. The other owner of Pirates Choice died a few years ago, and Don couldn't find another distillery.. til now.

    Don and his company have started another rum company called Code rum out of Florida. Right now, that is the only place you can get it, but they do have some fine flavors.

    If you get a bottle, you are a lucky pirate!

    Good day mates! It looks like we will be at the Bellevue Berry Farm again, in Nebraska. They must have liked us, they asked us back!

    I heard of someone getting hurt at a skirmish in Wis. too. That is why insurance is needed for anyone around gunpowder or involved in sword-fighting.

    I'm very sad to see anyone get hurt. :(

    Breast cancer pins

    This is a bit late to post this, but I ended my 5 year Campaign against Cancer with No Evidence of Disease. This doesn't mean its gone, since we all have the cells in us, but it does mean that as of now, I'm consider free and clear of breast cancer. (fist pump and high fives!!)

    I've had a few minor problems with arm swelling, cold intolerance, and occasional pain, but I'm so glad and surprised I'm here, with my new husband, and yes life is good!

    I want to thank everyone who helped move me thru the past 5+ years, with rum, prayers, blessings, kicks in the butt, long hours talking. and your friendship. I would not be here without it. REALLY.

    I want to tell all of you, "thank you", and "I love you", to all my pirate angels. Blessings to you all!

    More shows to announce for 2013- its going to be a limited season since my David is going to summer school, but we are hoping to catch Clear Lake, IA in October, Bellevue, NE in August, Dubuque IA in May, Amana IA Memorial weekend, and a possible hit or miss on some other faires like KCRF or MNRF. Some of these are pirate themed like Clear Lake, others are more ren, like Amana. If you find yourself in the area, give us a hellooo and maybe we can share a cuppa of tae.

    stopped back on to say hello! The crew of the FG will be at the Amana fest in Mid-Iowa in May and also the Pirate Fest in Papillion (try saying that fast 3 times!!) Nebraska in May 2012. We will have a new tent, and a few new things to see and play with. If anyone has some ideas for kids things, especially educational items, send me an email or send off a salvo! I want kids to know more about pirates then.. arrrrrrrrrgh. Please help end the cliche'd pirate!

    its been a few years since I first set foot in this harbor, but I made some grand and scurvy friends here, whilst walking the planks. You helped introduce me to pyracy, pirate crews, and I am sure there are some who rue the day!! but that is another story.. heres to another couple decades at the helm.. cheers!

    Bo, we will be traveling down that way this week, then down to TX. I will be roaming or using my beau's phone. I might try to see if you are ok down there.. my thoughts and prayers go to all our brethern and not, after this horrific storm. Also pray that our trip is safe and sound.. going to meet up with Black syren in Austin!
