  2. we actually did cross paths a few times, but always at a run! Its a busy weekend all around. The best thing I did was coordinate phones so a few people could get in touch with the others.. I guess I was the operator.. lol

good to work with you all again, and see your smiling, piraty smiles.. cheers!!

Politics entirely aside I think it was a great event. My administrative responsibilities spooled down to 10% after Friday night and I could return to being an entertainer all day Saturday and Sunday. I loved all of our sets - everyone is so responsive and supportive. CD sales were good on Saturday and the audiences were good all around. The weather held all night Friday, until 5:00 on Saturday and after a morning shower was gorgeoous on Sunday.

MerryDeath, I'm sorry we never crossed paths all weekend. I did not see you at either morning meeting so I couldn't publically thank you for all of your assistance in getting the event in order. I hope you had a positive experience.

I met a bunch of really great people, revisited a bunch of great friends that I see too seldom and really did have the best of times. I hope everyone else enjoyed themselves.

  3. no teapot dance.. Master Rats wasnt' at the bash as far as I knew.. I did help with wine and beer sales for a while, and no not just for my comsumption!!

I would like to thank my crew for showing up and working above and beyond the call of duty. I know the few of us (and some of the crew were down with plague) helped out with the fest at the booths and helping move things, getting things, the invasion, and more then once, tasting the grog to make sure it was still good. I am so proud of all of you for showing top spirit and style!!

my cruise director Kris was working with your fest crew as volunteer coordinator, and so had several large hats to wear this weekend. I am very proud of you taking this task on and being so on top of it.. sorry the camping was a bit cold and wet.

Yes the weather was cold, but i'll take that over very hot. It was a bit surprising to have a day of 70 and then 45 the next, tho

I did miss meeting some of you, Dean, it was great to see you again, and Bounding Main too..

i heard someone got caught red-handed and I dont mean Jill... anyone want to comment on that besides me?? its sad when that happens to spoile a fest.. pirates caught stealing could be taken off ship and marooned or even tossed oerboard. Just an idea....

also, I had a nice pair of red earrings taken from my table. I hope the lass will wear them with style and class..

...the cold... and rain... and some interesting occurances!!

    Anyone want to start??

What? No Teapot Dance this year?

  4. I see you joined a scant month ago, and I can't help but wonder what makes you pirate lord of the midwest? There are others who have been here a long time, and with crew and experience.. what do you bring to the table, sir?

It's been a concept by some. I don't know if any have ever flourished and happened.

Then I guess I shall be the barer of new light. :D

  5. sorry luv, but Kansas City is about 6 hours away.. too bad! I was considering moving about 3 hours closer to it, but I DO have a job and that makes me stick here...

I seem to remember a hot tub tho. Fondly and ahem.. !

    I'm at work and wish I wasn't.

What's the weather like in Kansas City?

Is the lamp still on the wall?

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Pleasant thoughts till i can dream

  6. another of me favorite times being a pirate.. I had been to MNRF quite a few times, but mostly as wench. I was there with a crew from SD, and got to walk the parade withe the king of the pirates, a handsome man in purple, with his jolly jolly crew! (I think Jib was with him then, also!)

doffs her hat, and salutes the crews at MNRF..

Okay you are at the Faire or doing some living history event, perhaps at a movie premire and you have an encounter that just makes your decade. After said encounter you think to yourself "Yup, that's why I dress up as a pirate!"

The moment need not be with a non-pirate or patron. It could be something you shared with friends or between fellow pirates. It could be a romantic tryst or a funny adventure. Drunk or sober tell me your tale!

Middle Amana Park (Medici Grove) - Amana Colonies, IA

while this isnt strictly a pirate fest, I will be there with bells on, so who knows what can happen.

Its a soft faire with tents, in the middle of a pretty 1900's German commune park. Pretty setting and there is usually jousting scheduled. If you would like to join me at the faire, contact me soonest.
