    Rainin' in Sausalito....?

Not surprisin'. Seems San Francisco is chilly, but there is sun peekin' out as I look outside. Of course, this be right now...

I'm comfy in me pirate clothes, with a slight backup o' thermal knickers...

  4. Talked to her late last night. She's still in an' doin' all right from th' sounds o' things.

Just outta curiousity..how long will the sea battle last, an' when's a rough time frame as to when we'll be in Sausalito? The friend was curious because she has an event in th' evenin' to head to..

M'self? I don' care. I 'ave every plan ter jus' take me sweet ol' time.

*eyes Carrie's new rankin'* Doesn' take long, does it mate? :)

  5. Lucky Penny, do you still have the email with directions and the South Beach Harbor website? If you need one, let me know before noon tomorrow so I can resend.

Got 'em. Sent 'em to me work. An' it's got your contact info, so all should be good.

I need t' be findin' out about me friend..she got in a car accident yesterday an' I'm hopin' she be in shape tomorrow for things. I have yet to hear from her since yesterday when she called me.

*there is no emoticon for the worried pirate...*

  6. ..."Ah, me Penny, Penny, Penny!..Read slower, me Pretty!...And, South Beach, yes, but, 'Fisherman's Wharf' at the bottom of Hyde Street isn't at all considered 'North Beach"!..Matters not, 'twill be a fabulous night 'o raidin' and plunderin'!..........Canna' wait, meself!!!!....RR!

It was the chocolate. Th' moment someone started up 'bout chocolate...I was a goner...

    *snickering mightily!*

Edited to Add: An' that was Quill goin' on 'bout chocolate, I realized. Heh.

See? The Penny's brain's been addled the last few days. Too long on land, methinks....

  7. Aye to that, 'Quill!..An', a bit 'o an' afterthought, but, ..the Saturday mornin' hunt for the 'Interceptor' (just hadda say it!)...will not be returning to any harbor but me own!...( Pelican Harbou, Sausalito), So do plan accordingly, an' be ready for one 'Hellava' night on the Waterfront, raidin' Fisherman's Wharf, (might even plunder Ghiradelli Square, 'chocolat')...hit the clubs, why, Pyracy all o'er the town!....Then nighty- night on the 'ole Square-rigger!......Aye!.......

Arr, now this be confusin' me..

The Wharf is North Beach, isn' it?

An' we're goin' ter South Beach?

We'll be a bit of a jaunt away...but ye know...it wouldn' take us much ter ride th' cable cars...

    *shifty eyes*

    COMMANDEER THE CABLE CARS!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Aye to that, 'Quill!..An', a bit 'o an' afterthought, but, ..the Saturday mornin' hunt for the 'Interceptor' (just hadda say it!)...will not be returning to any harbor but me own!...( Pelican Harbou, Sausalito)

I think the latest ferry outta there is what, around 5:30 at night or somesuch?

    M'thinkin' I'm good, Cap'n.

    *blink*

    Waitaminit.....M'outta RUM!!!! *stare!*

Oh...only outta Private Stock. I got me Malibu outta me ears.... B)

  9. I have a week to put pants on the Unded Jack Sparrow puppet.

Ah, now, lass...what HAVE ye been doin' with puir Jack that deprives him of his breeches, an all, not to mention loosening his leg? That were some exercise ye put him through, make no mistake. :P

I should really explain meself before anyone gets th' wrong idear...

Let's start with Cap'n Jack's pants. When I initially put him together, it was on a whim and somewhat late in th' evenin'. I made wee Jack's vest, his shirt, gave him a sash an hair an' all..even a wee bandage on his hand...but no pants. Just was too lazy!

Now....as for 'is leg...well, that started up at Ojai. For some reason, poor Jack's leg didn' wanna stay attached t' his body, an' kept fallin' out at random intervals. It made for some funny moments, though...

All goes well, the wee Cap'n should be ready to terrorize SF formally at th' end of the week. M'deliberatin' makin' 'im a wee coat an' tricorn...

As for Royaliste's thought o' givin' im a hook hand....hrmmm...

  10. Oh, 'ave we got a Norrington cosplayer 'ere? I daresay we have many Jacks, an' one more once tha vest and shirt're done. Those be needin' many buttons as well. Around 35 fer the coat, 18 fer the vest, 2 fer the shirt and 12 fer 'is trousers. *sighs* I spen' more o' me loot on buttons than on anythin' else.

Ye know...SOMEONE has to be a nemesis for all these Jacks running about.

    *snickering*

An' I think if I tried 'ard enough I could pretend I was an overstuffed British Navy commodore.

Of course, my inner Bird is laughing mightily at this.

  11. Aaaaand.. I'm home :)

I'm happy, but tired, and I sadly have to go back to work in the AM.

The Mouse did not dig too deeply into me pockets, thankfully. Of course, however, Pieces of Eight managed to fenaggle the most of my money however. *shifty eyes*

The grand total of rides on Pirates came out to 14. Early morning delays and the fact that they don't specify that while the resort opens at 8 AM the PARKS don't open til 10 kind of crimped it. That, and I got distracted by the Indiana Jones ride. ALOT.

    *sheepish*

Anyway, it was a wonderful vacation, I'm happy I went on it, and now all I have to do is unpack....and reduce my missing of the Pirates ride by playing the ride CD :)

Cap'n, we might have to combine it with the movie soundtrack for Halloween

  12. Thank ye, thank ye all SO very much..

Allow me, while I have some time and am sittin' down, to relay some of my memories thus far.

I am at 11 rides on POTC. Sadly, it was broken down on Saturday, so my aspiration to hit 30 by the end of the trip is kind of shot unless I do NOTHING ELSE but ride that bloody ride. *chuckle* And I have to admit, there is so much to see in this place!

But yes...I must relay these little things. Yesterday, I got my pirate hat with the name "Captain Penny" on it (they won't give you anything but "Captain" or "Pirate" with your name...but no one said I had to use my REAL name..arrr!) and I was walking along, a father and son walked past me. The father looked to his son and goes "You think she's a pirate? I think she is.." I looked over to the two of them, gave them a hushing gesture and said "I'm on vacation!"

This was an in-joke that held into today, when I was donned in my "Pirate Lite" clothes: my muslin shirt, a pair of blue jeans with knee holes and my pirate boots. I had a security guy come up to me while walking between Disney California and Disneyland go "We don't allow pirates in here." I just blinked at him all confused like, wondering if my clothes had "over done it", but was uncertain because I'd just been in Disney CA and was drenched from the Grizzly rapids ride. I blink at him all confused and he goes "I'm kidding!"

    Yeesh.

Also, one of the people at the front gate of Disneyland made a point to "tell the pirate to be on her best behavior", at which point, of course, I had to remind her again "I'm on vacation! Don' be tellin' no one 'bout me!"

But Penny be a tired lil' pirate...and she's gonna get her sleeptime in...dreaming perhaps of commandeering the Columbia...

    ARR!

  13. And watch out when ye head fer the ship's purser to pay fer yer plunder.... the register be booby trapped!

There is a large box hidden in the beams and filled with soft cotton mop heads!  The kids frequently spring the booby trap on unsuspecting adults, and "mop" them!!

Experienced this for myself a little while back. Quite entertainin' *hee!*

An' if ye look through their website, ye can crawl back through the Store Log a bit to see mention of one "Commodore Penny Dreadful".

    Guess who, mates?

ye don' think I be givin' me real name t' every Tom, Rick, an' Harry now, do ye?

  14. Arrrr, a toast to ye lassie. I spent many a birthday in the Magic Kingdom and been on Star Tours 10 times during me stay.

An don' be lettin' the numbers get ye down, yer only as old as ye feel - and I actually likes meself better as the years go by.

The numbers are my last problem

    I'm 30 going on 12 going on 21.

    Something like that!

  15. So yer own Lucky Penny leaves for the almighty Land o' Disney on Friday mornin'...ready t' lock horns with the third decade of 'er life by way of going to the place that will drop her to a third of 'er age.

The plan is simple. Mouse it for five days, hopefully t' see a few people along the way.

..and to ride the POTC ride once for each year of my age.

Think I can pull it off?

I say I can...even if I 'ave t' do it all by me onesy.

  16. Ye mean "There Should Have Been Only One?"

    Heh.

Aye then. Prepare for th' list o' Crappy Moovees.......

    In no particular order:

Midnight Kiss: Vampire flick with a hottie vampire..well, if you're into guys that kind of look like the lead singer of Skid Row and walk like elephants....and dress terrible.

Black Roses: Demon metal band. Nuff said. It's just one of those movies that USA kept playing late at night when I should have been in bed back when I was a teen. I grew attached.

Howard the Duck: Actually not "bad" per se, but some would call it bad. One of my favorite lines: "What's white, yellow in the middle and always reminds me of my birthday?" This movie is also the inspiration as to why I sometimes call Cleveland "Cleave-Land".

More as I think on this..

  17. :) An' Aye wouldn't be a spendin' a whole lotta tyme on the stitchin'...A Pyrate might jest sneak on up, stick the tip 'o a dirk under the first stitch, and , Voila!.....got the visual????...need I say more?...

Note to self: Consider the prospect of well-disguised wire lacing for corsetry worn near the Royaliste.

    Tee Hee!
