  1. Depends upon where ye be and what forum ye find the right information upon. I'd imagine lots of theater invasions will happen when On Stranger Tides is released. After all, t'was done with the last 3 films. ~Lady B
  2. Personally, I enjoyed all of them. If a PotC 5 and PotC 6 do happen, well... shall look foward to them as well. But I shall hope that Barbossa be a part of it. ~Lady B
  3. Silence so far. I haven't heard a word from the IMAX or the Navy Pier. And Captain Bruce of the Windy is still on vacation. But, I promise... once I heard word of a 'yay' or 'nay', shall let ye know. I'm praying for a 'yay' soon. ~Lady B
  4. I shan't be able to make this one (again. Unless I win the lottery) but shall spread the word to the Resurrection crew and hopefully someone or two may attend. ~Lady B
  5. Aye, ye not be far. Within the same region at least. And in the same state as M.A. d'Dogge... the one I warned ye about whom was in "Dinner: Impossible - Pirates Peril". :) Oh, cannot wait t' meet ye, lass. In due time I'm sure. Unless ye can drag yo'r family into the pirate fun as well and join us all at Port Washington, Wisconsin for the Pirate Festival there. Guaranteed an event NOT to miss. Of course, the Pirates of Paynetown event in Indiana is one not to miss either. Oh, devil, girl... ye should see what events be near ye on the Resurrection website as well as the Raids here. Well, ye've come to th' first place. Where to next depends upon what ye be wantin' t' know or lookin' for. If entertainment, look under Pirate Pop. More historical stuff, well Captain Twill be a good place to start. Ye want attire info, look under Pyrate Craft for, the sewing center for the latest on hints and tips of how to make yo'r proper pirate attire. Or check the Thieves Market for where to obtain said items. Ye found a spot at leas to write some fiction. Just... flitter about, and enjoy. Aye, told ye there was no better place for a pirate t' go. ~Lady B
  6. Thank ye, Cross. :) Shall give it a go. ~Lady B
  7. That's cool, Will. This is a great thread. Anyone find any more shipping logos/labels? I'm curious to see what else there is. ~Lady B
  8. LMAO!!! Ye saw what Bilge said, mates....
  9. Ye know.. this sounds like an incredibly great idea! I think ye got somethin' going here, Wes! I may be interested as well. ~Lady B
  10. And I'll be keepin' a VERY sharp eye upon them Searats, too, Hook. Welcome to th' Pub, Jenna. Glad to see ye made way to this fine establishment. Ye'll find no better congregation of pirates. Have a look 'round. Beware th' gentlemen scoundrels... finally ye'll meet Sterling with whom I've been telling ye about. And others I believe. :) Just... beware. Ahhh... now I know where ye be. Oh, dear God in Heaven help ye! Ye be in th' same state as M.A. d'Dogge! :) Hopefully in due time, shall see ye at an event or few. ~Lady B
  11. I would like to humbly request thy participation in a pirate roleplay entitled "Age of Buccaneers" set in the caribbean during the 1660s http://pyracy.com/index.php?showtopic=17628&st=0&p=394439&fromsearch=1entry394439 you may tell friends if they are interested they are welcome to join.

  12. Glad ye came to th' Pub, Tiny. Tis no better place ye could venture upon. Many here I'm sure could offer many answers. Tis a general, wide-ranged question. Could be hope, want, or desire for something better, the call of adventure, our own point of view, replicate what we saw from a movie or tv show, The joy of impersonating history to teach and learn, the mystery of something found that was once lost... It's a large number of possibilities, all with so many different answers from every single person. :) ~Lady B
  13. Aye, I heard this, too. I'm very curious to see this guilded hilt that be the claimed possibly Blackbeard's sword. ~Lady B
  14. Can't wait for next year! I've already begun pondering and shopping for my recipiant next year. :) Hopefully my recipiant this year will enjoy his gift. ~Lady B
  15. I don't mind further PotC adventures. I've heard the rumors abound of a PotC 5 and a PotC 6. I'm not holding my breath unlike some folks. But just intregued that there are rumors when PotC 4 has yet to be released! But those comments on that link Bess provided... MOST UNCALLED FOR!!! Frankly, I can still see plenty of elements that can still be used for PotC. Plenty of them. ~Lady B
  16. Yo'r best bet is to pick and stick with something more... realistic. It stands out more. Drop the Plundering, Pylos Parker sounds pretty good. Or, find a ship trade, like a Cooper, and could be known as Cooper Parker. One does not have to extend their piratey name to some silly fantasy pirate name. Unless you do more of the fantasy pirate, then by all means, use the Plunder Pylos Parker. Depends upon how you wish to be viewed as a pirate. And as Hurricane mentioned, most times... that name is often decided for ye by others or changes. Don't sweat th' name. :) ~Lady B
  17. Ahoy! I had to resurrect this topic... I'm thinking of making some of these buttons and curious to know if there is a recommended site still in operation that is a step by step guide on making these fine buttons. Thank ye, ~Lady B
  18. The gangplanks and doors to the establishment shall ALWAYS be open, Pegleg. ~Lady B
  19. As I have heard time and time again, this is a Hobby. Simply fun time in one way or another for people. So, people have various ideas of what is a pirate. Only thing you can do is do your best at portraying history by yourself with an encampment or with a crew of your own. If others attend the event that are likeminded, by all means, interact if you wish. Interact nevertheless with anyone. But don't fuss too much about how others portray pirates. It's really like bashing you head against a 24 foot wall of concrete and reenforced titanium. Each to their own. And.... just like Michael and Ransom and the others have said. We have indeed had verbal battles like this in the past which, unfortunately, cause a lot of bad tastes and bad blood. ~Lady B
  20. Hmmmm... rather interesting, Ricky. ~Lady B
  21. Welcome to th' Pub, good sir. Tis a good thing they urged ye to stumble into this here establishment. I guarantee ye'll find no better pirate establishment than this here Pub. Shall look forward to conversin' with ye. ~Lady B
  22. Thank ye, Bellamy. Shall look foward to some funs stories with ye. Aye, Elena. Been role playing stories online for over a decade. And have been involved in some great stories, a couple of which have been included in Lady B's past. Especially the part of her whisked away from home into a war. Role playing stories REALLY do help out in creating a character and their past. Just the same way as attending events helps to create a character. Just one more aspect to add to the depth and dimension of a character. ~Lady B
  23. Ahoy to all! Yes, now I have gone and done it. And figured this was the best place to post it. The Age of Enlightenment is an online role playing story forum site specifically set during the 18th Century, plus the late 17th c and early 19th c. Both historical and fictional characters are welcome. You write a progressive story that lasts as long or short as you wish with no real limit on characters involved so long as it's realistic. It's the realistic setting that will make it all the more enjoyable. This is a perfect way for some to develope or continue their past history for their personas. So, come... join in on the fun. Create some fantastic stories filled with adventure, romance, and every other element of a great story! All at the Age of Enlightenment ~Lady B
  24. Let the ragging of the hair begin! Hopefully will have that awesome period style hair. ;) ~:Lady B

  25. Hoist yo'r tankards high for a long time member of Pub and the Coxwain of the Resurrection... Perkeo Flarg! Offer yo'r best wishes and some rum for the shipmate. Happy Birthday to ye, Perkeo! ~Lady B
