  1. Huzzah Silkie m'lady! I am sooo impressed! Please keep us posted on your marvelous adventure!
  2. We are available to assist any traveler's with getting to the fort when they get to the keys. If you need a ride, or have any questions about directions etc. we will have a 24-hr number available for folks, as some people mentioned that they may be in at some different hours. As we get closer, if you know you need assistance, pm me with contact info, and we can make plans. Otherwise, I will post the 24-hr contact number for anyone to use. Just returned from Key West, Harry and the Fort. Everyone there is so excited about our return! They miss us!
  3. A most wonderful resource, is your site! I had not had the opportunity to visit until tonight, but I will be out more often! Thank you for all your time and efforts!
  4. What a wonderful idea! The Callahan Crewe will be glad to help! We can put in a sewing kit, simple repairs type. Let us know if there is anything else you need us to do to help with logistics as well. We always drive down. Well done! Can't wait to see it!
  5. THAT'S GREAT PATRICK!!! Gee, Harry, maybe we'll even have to consider a "Harry Bobblehead"! Hmmm, I think there's a market!
  6. Good idea, I'll have to find some local shops. We live in a small town, and I don't think we have a Goodwill shop, but I think there are some thrift shops in the next town over. I'll have to start looking them over. Callenish sent me some good stuff too. We also are looking at tentage, and I have been actively researching options there too. Keep the tips coming!
  7. No excuse needed lass, come on up anytime! We'd love to have you guys!
  8. Thought about this quote and I think there may be a market! [/img] We LOVE Action Figure Harry!
  9. Having lived in Colorado most of my life, camped in all weather, this is nothing to fear! You will be most comfortable with a light blanket as needed (but mostly not). The night breeze may make it a plus to have the blanket, but I have only needed a small one a couple of the nights in 2 years. The weather has been very cooperative to say the least!
  10. Where did you order your chests and beds from? I am in need of both items, as well as some other things.. but I want to get started.
  11. To all our PiP Family, The glass is raised to one and all, may your 's always be full, the huzzah's be loud an' plentiful, and the plunder be more than you'll ever need! Here's to 2008, may we be in Paradise all year long! Fair Winds and Full Holds, The Callahans Crewe of the Sacred Heart
  12. Here is the link for the journal. I think it will suit your needs well. There are many options if this size isn't quite right. I liked it because it was refillable. http://www.renaissance-art.com/prod57/product.aspx
  13. Glad to hear it all arrived with the Holidays it can be tricky. Did you get the link to the leather sewn journals that you requested? If not, I'll resend it.
  14. I have solved the festival history mystery! The official beginning of The Pirates in Paradise Festival was in Marathon, FL in 1990. It was born from some folks at a Renfare that wanted a "Pirate Only" Festival. In 1998, the first week of the festival was in Marathon, with the second down in Key West. 1999 there was no festival, as the folks in Marathon decided to stop. In 2000, Julie and Finbar and crewe restarted it as Key West Pirates in Paradise Festival. We are going to be planning the "9th Annual Key West Pirates in Paradise Festival". So, officially, we are at 9 seasons for 2008. In 2009, it will be the 10th anniversary of the festival in it's current location. Perhaps we should have some sort of acknowledgement cooking for the 10th annual? Thoughts?
  15. The ones we got for Pirates in Paradise came from a company called the Maryland Sutler. They came in plain, unfinished and William Redwake and crew finished them at PiP. They came out beautifully, and the sutler (John) was very reasonable on price, even shipping some extra glass in case of breakage.
  16. Well, unsure about 1990, but have confirmed that the festival was in Marathon from 1994-1998. The 1998 season, the first weekend was in Marathon, and the second weekend was in Key West. 1999 was no festival, but true enough, Julie and Captain Finbar and folks revived it in Key West. I am going to call Julie this week and see what date they use, and if there is any kind of "extra" special year for 2008, I for one would like to make sure that we honor the fact that Julie and Captain Finbar have done so much for us. They brought the festival back with the help of a few diehard pirates like Cascabel, Bawdy Be and Braze (probably others that I don't know of yet). This last year we all as a group of PiP 2007 made it come ALIVE! But without their faith in it long ago, we would not have had a gathering of the bretheren at all. PiP 2008 will be the best one ever, with all of you on board, how could it not be!
  17. I was reading an old copy of No Quarter Given, and stumbled upon a listing for Pirates in Paradise from 1998. I believe this to have been the first year for the festival, can anyone confirm? We may be looking at a 10 year anniversary party...to go along with the birthday bash...seems like more rum may be in order...
  18. Since we haven't started a weapon posting yet for this year, I thought I would just use this one... It also might have fit under Top 10 posting, but here goes: Cap'n and I just received the best Christmas gift for each other from Callenish!! We purchased 2 of his British Light Dragoon Pistols and I could not be any happier (unless I had powder...)!! They are incredibly beautiful, and if you get the opportunity to get weapons this holiday season, get them from Callenish!! Thanks a million, they are really beautiful! I'll get the Cap'n to photograph them for all to see! Huzzah to Callenish! The rum is on us!
  19. Callahan Crewe of the Sacred Heart registering in: We will be there most certain! Just how large our crewe gets between now and then we are unsure but register in: Captain Callahan Quartermaster Fayma Callahan Toby of the Ships Morgan Drake Huzzah! It is great to see so many of our pyratical friends registering their marks so early! Let's keep it rolling...on to "THE" Pyrate event of the year: PiP 2008!
  20. Huzzah! Baby Charlie it is... Sorry Nigel but the crowds have spoken. Captain will start working on it immediately. Also, does anyone have Charlie's Mom's contact info? i would like to be sure that she gets to see it asap. Thanks!
  21. Please post an address for the checks to be mailed to, and we also will send ours. Thanks!
  22. Ahoy Greg, Glad to have you aboard mate! Looking forward to seeing you at events before PiP, as we are sort o' neighbors. Will be in touch to make some additional purchases as well!
  23. I suppose sizes would be in order. We'll be needin' a large and a 2XL, in case they shrink some as all t-shirts seem to. Cheers mate on the design!
