  1. I'm sure we could get Patrick t' dress up a few bags o' coffee fer ye, an hold a proper matrimonial ceremony too, next time yer in Ojai. I'll get started on my waist coat made of coffee filters! Jacky would you be my best man?
  2. I bought the buckles from Tandy leather here in Bakersfield, Ca. I couldn't find the exact buckles I wanted, but these worked out ok enough..
  3. I used rivets. I would have sewn them on but it wouldn't have been as strong as the Rivets. I can walk around in these all day non stop and my feet never hurt.. I'm still having some period straight lasted shoes made as quickly as possible, but these will get me through till then..
  4. No Bess, we use arrangement offices downstairs for making funeral arrangements. This would be my personal office. On occasion, people do wander up to see it though.
  5. I started playing guitar and singing so girls would talk to me, but I also switced deodorants around the same time, so I can't really say if it worked or not..Actually, no, it didn't work at all really, but I got some good pics out of the whole deal!
  6. You remind me of a young Charles Manson with that wonderful gleem in yer Eye there! When you sew, by chance to you whisper under yer breath, "It rubs the lotion on it's skin, or else it gets the hose again"
  7. I have a Bull Terrier named Wallace..
  8. I like Hollywood pirates.. PoTC movies were great and I'm aspiring to have a kit just like right out of the movie. I want like 5 or 6 kits of different time periods. Master and Commander had some of the most awsome costumes ever!! It's a little off from the Golden age, but when I'm able to walk onto the set of Master and Commander and look like I'm one of the actors, I'll be in heaven.. The skulls and fantasy blades and the thigh high musketeer boots with spandex pants and purple hats with chrome plated conches that say "ARGHHH," thats what they mean by Hollywood pyrates. If thats the type of pirate someone enjoys portraying, awsome! I might even have to make a Dread Pyrate Roberts' kit myself! After all this is the Pyracy pub....now where did I put my Cod piece?
  9. So...At the funeral home I am a partner in, it was decided that we need to have offices worthy of our positions. One of my partners has the Aviation thing going on..But I wanted that Nautical feel...So...I tore down all the wood paneling, ripped up the brown carpet, scrapped the Popcorn off the ceiling and even found a secret room (which was a closet) behind some book shelves. The old tile had asbestos so I didn't tear it up and just laid wood planks down...here is what it looked like! So then I put in a chair rail and painted and painted and painted and then I painted my nautical compass on the ceiling and then busted into my secret room behind my book case and then threw in some "stuff" and I'm still not finished. I'm putting a huge map on the wall between the sconces and I have to spring load my secret door and hook it up to the book that opens it. I have little hooks and what not to make and put up and figure out a way to display swords and such....I'm on the second floor so I wanted to put a swivel gun in my window!! Heres what it looks like at the moment...I'll tell all the ladies that the pole is a 17th century stripper pole!!
  10. I bought a pair of Hushpuppies in 1992..For like $50 bucks..So they were just sitting in my closet..At first I just slapped a strap over the front and put a pilgrim buckle on there and called it a day..I have different pairs of boots and I love my boots, but after seeing Patrick Hand and visting Gentlemen of Fortune, I wanted some Buckle shoes. I'll eventually purchase a correct pair, but for now I just need something that looks o.k. and is comfortable.. and these shoes are VERY comfortable for me. So here is what they looked like at first.. So I added some Tongue and then a little buckle that would look o.k. and then covered them in Antique leather stain that has a glaze in it, so it gave them that Vegetable-tanned leather look..and this is what they look like now! Since I had the shoes and the Leather dye and some spare leather, my only cost were the buckles which were about 90 cents and then my time (an hour) I figure I came out on top...The only thing I don't care for is the seam around the top...What do you think? Do they blow or are they awsome and wonderful?

  15. How did I miss this wonderful post? 5am, Coffee, not too hot so I can drink several cups quickly in a row... Nescafe, 2 spoonfuls per cup, my teeth are a nice cheap yellow mustard color all day! Brush teeth. get to work at 8am....Costco brand dark roast...maybe a pot in half. Starbucks at 11am for a blended mocha with no whip and 2 extra shots. Lunch at noon. About four Coke's and some 5th Avenue bars, pork rhines and then maybe dessert. 3pm a few cups of coffee and then soda the rest of the day... I love coffee so much I wish I could Marry it.
  16. You know I'm gonna buy one of those rifles. I would have bought one sooner if would have known I wanted one.
  17. I put my Justacorp thru the ringer...Shot at it, stabbed it, sand papered it, repaired it, shot at it some more, brown ritz dye in a squirt bottled it and then caught it on fire. Then I buried it in the mud for a week, dug it up and washed it and turned out great. Then I realized I could have just worn it doing my weekend honey do's around the house and it would have looked just as great. Who knew wool was so flammable?
  18. Fresno...Germs. Or why don't you hit up Digiorgio winery out off of Edison hwy. Or drive your lazy self over to Pasa Robles and pick up ten of these.... http://www.usedwinebarrels.com/fullbarrels.htm Or you can drive over to Harmony right above Morro Bay on HWY1 and pick thru their pile in the back....and they're free! Or buy some ok used ones for $50.
  19. "There is a letter on record that Washington had a few wall guns made up that were capable of hitting a sheet of common writing paper at 600 yards". Crazy!
