  1. Two (2) really 'well worth the inflated price' oranges and a cup of tea for my throat and head. Yup! Spring is here. As for my 'humble pie' remark - A bout with the Hubby, tis all.
  2. The Captain is correct. The Children in his American Social Studies class were completely taken aback when Bess Hagerty (the Archangel's indentured servant) showed up! I fear I may have over done it a bit, though. The Captain had to attended to another class while I did my 'discussion' with the children. By the time Captain Sterling returned the children were racing up to him asking all sorts of questions. "You don't let her have any friends?" "Why don't you let her sleep on a bed?" "Why can't she eat with you'll at the table?" I don't think Captain Sterling was prepared for the flurry of questions or the verbal attack these kids laid on him. Yet, it did get them to think and ask question about what they just learned... This is a good thing....
  3. Lilly continued her progress toward Marshallsea prison. Remaining in character, she kept to herself until she noticed that others, about her, were stirring into action and their attention was focusing upon the gaol. Old head raised and she straightened as she too now watched in surprise as the alarm sounded and the prison began to convulse into pandemonium. Suddenly others were rushing past her to gain advantage in the viewing. One man in particular, dressed chiefly in black, nearly forced her to the ground as he collided with the actress, and then continued on without so much as a by your leave. Lilly was about to admonish him, but bit her tongue when she realized she knew him. Darnely's man. She quickly turned about and retraced her steps, trying to lose herself in the ever growing crowd. It was the second man who assaulted her that she let fly her verbal reprimand upon even forgetting to change her tone and accent. This man halted abruptly and turned to look at her and Lilly, realizing her mistake, immediately fell back into her hag's speech but stopped as she looked into the man's bloodied face. He was badly hurt and for a second her heart went out to him. "Can I help you?" she asked, approaching him. "You!" came the man's reply. The next thing Lilly knew, was his hand was covering her mouth and he was dragging her off with him back the way she had come.
  4. Finishing up on making lables for a bunch of DVDs my evil twin burned for me a while ago.
  5. Hmm...a bit of humble pie at my house too! Must be going around...
  6. Her visit with the physic was informative, but brief. She did not wish to linger too long fearing that she would be found out. Croaker managed some instruction for her and handed her a list of items which to use. She thanked him with word and coin, but stated that she may be in need of his instruction if her lover did not improve. With a nod, Croaker agreed. Once again, Lilly tottered down the cobblestone street in the guise of the old hag. Muttering to herself; as the aged do, discouraging any encounter from those who may seek coin or company while in route back to the jail.
  7. He was Polish, tall, thin, and lanky. Croaker was but an alias for what Lilly did not feel at present the right to ask. His carriage though, his over all look, spoke volumes as to his past and it surely had been a good one up to a point. She wondered only briefly why and how someone of his class, had arrived in such a dismal location as Port Royal. Lilly watched him as he made his way about his office, trying to understand his broken English as best she could. She had explained her lover's hurts and found herself almost in tears as she tried to explain that the damage done had caused him to say things she knew he could not have meant. "Could he?" she whispered aloud, wiping her nose with the back of her hand. The doctor paused in another crossing of the room and looked at her. He shrugged before he continued in motion. "I know not," he answered, not realizing the question was never intended to be truly directed at him. "Perhaps if I knew tese captain better I vould be a better judge of such things."
  8. Lilly starts to munch on a few... "'Dees arf reelphm goof too!"
  9. Lilly hold out a huge bag of TOSTITOS® Restaurant Style with a Hint of Lime Flavor Tortilla Chips. Slow down...I found them! ...I found Them!
  10. ^ Weapon of Choice? Poison Ring comes in handy...but I've herd that using sex as a weapon is just as deadly! < Lunch hour cut short due to conference call studies for Human Resources. Damn...I can't win today! V Pass the question on.
  11. Oshkosh, WI City Council Heads have approved the permits for the filming of "Public Enemies" in April of 2008. Lots of prepping going on for the seven to ten days of shooting there. Looks like streets will be blocked off, traffic rerouted, some changes to store fronts and the removal of a few obnoxious street lights (stop-&-go lights for you here in the midwest) to make the setting more period-correct. I hope to visit the 'cafe' there next month and see if I can't get a glance at the 'shy' actor.
  12. Very well then....we here are waiting for a story from you. Before I interrupted you and Syren, of course. Please...do go on Captain. Oh, William. Do be a dear and bring in some lime flavored corn chips. I think I'll also have a Lime beer.
  13. ^ I do get a boost of energy when the weather becomes more agreeable...warmer and sunny. I wake up and go to the gym then start my day off with a better attitude. < Hmm...I should start doing the gym thing again. This cold weather hasn't been motivating me at all. V What is your favorite outfit for Spring?
  14. Oh, I dare say that cannot compare to the terrible tales from Captain Red Head! He once told me a tale of a Queen in Eastern Europe that would bathe in the blood of virgins! How horrid." Said Lilly taking another sip.
  15. Lilly just looks over at William, slack-jawed at his matter-of-fact story telling of Bacon Eating. "Such an unusual dinner topic, don't you think, Captain?" Lilly again looks up at William as he smiles and pours another glass of wine for the Captain...leaving the bottle behind.
  16. Really?! Whom does the Kate employ? Suddenly, Micheal the wolf hound begins to heck hard under neather the table where the Captain and Lilly is sitting. Good Lord! What beast is that?!
  17. Lilly picks up the heal of the French bread and spreads some butter upon it. "How can you say no to such an earthly treat as this. William made it with his own two hands!" Suddenly, Lilly stops in mid-bite. She realizes what she had said and taking the napkin she removes the sliver of bread from her mouth as delicately as possible...hiding the uneaten piece of bread under the table for the wolf hound to eat.
  18. **laces fingers together and rests hands upon the table top. Looks her dead in the eye** Perhaps I should try playing the game yer way... Sir, what ever do you mean? Lilly quickly looking a tad bit - taken-aback. "Please lower your Voice Captain....Dorian and the rest are looking upon us."
  19. Lilly narrows her eyes at the other women in the pub, then leans over the table at the Captain. "Come now...I do hate it when we bicker. Shall we kiss and make up then? I shall see if I cannot persude William out of a good aged bottle of port. Come now...what say you?" Lilly leans in and kisses her Captain upon the cheek.
  20. ^ Yup! In the worse way, too! I really want a day to go outside and work in the garden, clean up the yard and see something brightly colored popping up from the ground. > How far in Lehighton, PA from Philly? \/ What would you rather do - Go to a Ren Faire for the Weekend or Go to 'War' at Cooper's Lake in PA (SCA event) for two weeks?
  21. You're attempt to make me jealous or me trying to humor you with a story as you consume your supper?
  22. Lilly watches the Captain flirting with Syren. She smirks at his pale attempt to make her jealous. "Stories? Aye, I know a few childhood tales of Fairies and the like. Which one would you perfer, Captain. Wee Willie Winkie or Tom Thumb?" Lilly then glances down at the Captain's lap then smiles at Syren.
