  1. Lilly quickly sits up and looks over at The Black Fox. My Word! Do Tell! Early Summer Ball. What colours are in Fashion this year? Rumors state it shall be pale hues...perhaps I shall drape myself in robin's egg blue. This is great news!" Lilly walks off muttering to herself. "What to wear...what to wear..."
  2. Lilly leans over and whispers into Captain Sterling's ear. "Aye...it be a good thing!"
  3. Kate...it sounds lovely and I would love to see it too! Silver is always a nice choice! Captain Sterling, didn't Silver stand for purity? I think it still does these days.
  4. Lilly looks a bit scared. "Captain...you know that I don't fair well to shell fish...and I can see myself standing there...breaking out in hives and swelling in places one should not be swelling!" "I'll try not to cross you or any of the crewe whilst I am in port. If things do turn for the worse I will be hyding out on the Royaliste!"
  5. "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned... Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned." The Mourning Bride (1697) by William Congress
  6. What?! This isn't the quote chat?! Feeling confused today!!! "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned... Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned." The Mourning Bride (1697) by William Congress
  7. The Guest Rooms have the new 'metro-modern' appeal to them. This reflects the recent influx of High-End European designs that has taken off here in the States for about the last 5-7 years. So, the heavy, dark elegant feel of the 90s is out -Retro mod/tech is in. Not knowing for sure, for I haven't stayed at this Westin before, the only place that looks kid friendly would be the RT Lounge or the Osteria di Tramonto. I can look further into this.
  8. Kate, You may want to consider other items related to your faith. Other than the bible, you may want to consider a period rosary...(depending on your faith, of course). I do have such an item for sale. I can email you a photo of it if you were to PM me. Thank you.
  9. Oh yes...I do expect ALL crewe members to take their bath...BEFORE the ball....
  10. Lords & Ladies - Reenactor Fest is no longer the 'cute little get-together' that it started out as. As we have all seen first hand, it has grown into a real convention -- and it's help from you guys that is making that a reality! RF5 is February 6-8, 2009 And because of our growth, our new facility will be the Westin Chicago North Shore in February 2009! Take a look: Westin Chicago NorthShore, IL It is a brand new facility, only 10 minutes from the Sheraton, and 4 star in every way. The vendors will now all be housed in ONE GIANT ballroom, and the ballroom for the nightly parties is 1,000 sq. ft. IT IS BIGGER than what we used to have. There are THREE restaurants on the premises, ranging from affordable Italian to gourmet Steak and Seafood.. and a sushi bar thrown in just because! The nightly room charge will be $5.00 more than the Sheraton was going to charge us, yet, I assure you NO ONE will be disappointed in their accommodations. Things just got 1000% more exciting, and I hope you are all on-board for Reenactor Fest 5! Doors Open for ReenactorFest 5: Friday - 3:00pm - 7:00pm Saturday - 9:00am - 6:00pm Sunday - 9:00am - 2:00 pm
  11. Lilly raises her eyebrows. "Ah...Fools! I instruct the fine art of dance and you men run like scared rabbits! Yes, I can see that all of you are true pyrates!" Hurricane, I must admit that the year the good Captain and I went it was held at the Hampton History Museum. A much smaller venue, but very worth while. We met so many good natured individuals...and some farmilar faces too! Captain Sterling won a "Major Award" that evening too! (Ask me about scaring children again once you find out when he won the award for!) It is well worth the fee....a grand time of it! Silkie...I shall teach you what you fancy! Reel, Jig, or menuet.
  12. Lilly rushes into the pub. "Wonderful! Amazing News!" A little girl! We must see her as soon as you can William...I bet she is lovely... I am so happy for the both of you. What a blessing!
  13. Well Cap'n Pete, the all the elevators were working on Thursday night when I got to the hotel. I think it crashed some time on Friday afternoon around 2 pm or so. Of course, like anything else, there was no one available to fix it until Monday. I do remember the same thing happening last year...but I don't think it was down for the entire weekend. Just goes to show...we need a new place!
  14. Water and yogurt Paperwork! Captain Sterling Dad
  15. Lilly grabs a fag and sits down with the light blanky. "Yes, I've been keeping notes as we spoke about some time ago. It's just the time of year....and she waits for the last moment to do 20 things at once. I wonder how in heaven's name she made it this far in life AND what her home life must be life. Now I know why she never married...and I am glad that her daughter isn't anything like her!
  16. Can I join you Captain? I would love to relax a bit with a drink and a choke stick! Maybe with that warm weather you're having - I could take a nap outside in the nice warm sun....
  17. Thank you BriarRose.... Sometimes...IT just doesn't GET IT?!?! I have a degree, I have WAY MORE computer training/knowledge/experience than she...and yet... ACK!!!! I just wish I could DRINK my lunch today!
  18. Shooting daggers at the Boss Lady as of the moment.... "Gosh! How I Despise her as of the moment! I can't even take a moment to pee right now!
  19. You are mistaken, Captain. I am not married...yet!
  20. *SIGH* Yes, it is snowing here as well! Perhaps a night near the fire will do me a bit of good... (Lilly winks at the Captain...)...if you are not engaged with other Ladies tonight Captain.
