  3. Nelly's footman hurried up the stairs, pistol in hand as slumber, so rudely disturbed brought forth immediate action. "Ah, good," Lilly verbally applauded the servant. "Do keep an eye on that one. I need to make sure everyone else is all right," she added as she made her way to the captain's room. As Lilly stepped over the limp form of downed Irishman, numerous Saints names went unnoticed by the actress. She did not take caution as she entered the desired room and was further dismayed to see yet another stranger present. "Will someone please explain to me what the bloody hell is going?" she asked.
  4. "And I beg to differ!" Lilly replied, as well accustomed to such actions, her knee made deadly contact with Irishman's tender package.
  5. Lilly pointed out Nelly Greene's home to d' Dogge and indicated the bedroom window where she thought Sterling lay resting comfortably. Assured of her sincerity, the marine captain remained in the shadows and watched as she made her way safely back inside the rear garden wall, before he turned and hastily began his trek back to the beach. Lilly hurried to get herself back within doors, anxious to make her report to Sterling and see how he was faring. As she neared the kitchen door she was surprised to find it unlocked at such an late hour and worried that perhaps Sally had gone to collect more items for the doctor. Quickly but quietly she entered the house and began her way up the stairs. She could hear voices above demanding assistance but could not make out Sterling's at all. A strange voice added to the confusion and she gathered her skirts and ran upward. But as she approached the landing a movement in the shadows caught her eye and as she stared hard she made out the figure of a man pressing himself close to the wall. Not knowing what else to do, she let out a scream that nearly shook the house to its foundations.
  6. A very happy natural day to you, Red-Handed Jill! Have a great day of it!
  7. Lilly dashes into the room - slightly out of breath but baring a bottle of fine rum. Ramson! I am so sorry that the day is almost over with. I want to wish you a very happy birth day! Have a great day or night of it!
  8. For those who wish to talk with Mike Kaplan (aka Chez Michel) about your custom, haute couture period wig - give him a call at 1-800-458-8040 (Ymittos Candle Manufacturing Co, Inc.) and ask for Mike Kaplan. He will be happy to discuss all possibilities with you. If you MUST contact him via email... Merkinperuke@aol.com - but please no pictures or attachments. Mike has issues with his vintage land-line system...and it takes hours to down load. Thank you. P.S. (my apologies for the email name)!
  9. Lilly had not expected that plans would ever have been laid to remove her if trouble ever occured regarding the Archangel. Still, with things as they currently were, she had not the time to even consider it, she only had time to argue that she needed to be allowed to return to town in order to see after Captain Sterling. The Scottish captain flatly refused to let her go. He was under orders and he would obey them. It was nearly an hour's time before Lilly finally convinced them to let her have one day to make arrangements to take Sterling from Port Royal as well. The marine sat, stroking the long brown beard that graced his all too pleasing face. "Two birds with one stone, eh? And ye be not havin us on... the captain truly has gotten himself free of Marshallsea?" he asked. "Yes he has. I give you my word on it," Lilly said. The second man only snorted in contempt. "And, pray tell, what exactly is that meaning Mistress?" Lilly bristled. "Mr. Hazzards you forget yourself!" "On the contrary Mistress McKinney, I recollect all of yer affairs with Captain Sterling only too well," the second mate of the Archangel stated bluntly. "Oh you must let me return to him! Please you cannot take me tonight and leave him here alone. Tis only a matter of time before he is found out and retaken!" The bear stood slowly to his feet. "I shall take her back into town and see if what she says is true," he offered, holding out his arm to the lady. "Make haste then Aluitious. I shall signal the boat to put back and come no further. Tommorrow night then, Mistress McKinney. And Heaven help ye if Captain Sterling be not with you," Hazzards said.
  10. Very good Captain Sterling...your turn!
  11. I will speak for you, Father. I speak for all mediocrities in the world. I am their champion. I am their patron saint.
  12. (Sigh)...But for those who have delt with him, whether in business or another reenactor...he prides himself with one-on-one service! Very gracious man, indeed.
  13. True, Blackjohn. I am trying to obtain a email address from Mike as we speak! I hope to have a 21st century form of communication soon. Also, my scanner blew a bulb...I need to scan the new wigs he has for sale...perhaps tomorrow.

  15. The great bear of a man relaxed only slightly, one arm still remained fixed about the actress's waist. The second man that approached, cautiously uncovered the lantern he held and brought its ray to land softly upon Lilly's face. "Aye, she's the one we come for," the man said, quickly concealing the flame once more. "Come along then," the great bear growled. His grip tightened once again about Lilly's waist as he began carrying her deeper into the woods. "No, no! Wait!" Lilly protested. "You must hear me out. Allow me to speak if you please, Captain!" But the bear would not halt until he felt them all to be safe once again in their hiding place, but instead of letting Lilly go, he only pulled her closer. "Aye, hear ye out we will until the boat arrives, but going ye are. Tis my orders to take ye out of here as quickly as possible. We've been waiting long enough for ye to show up!!" "Take me out of here?" Lilly asked. "Captain's orders." "But...no... you cannot take me now. John, Captain Sterling has escaped but he is..." The bear could not help but laugh, the rich sound forcing Lilly to stop speaking. She waited, impatiently glaring up at the Scotsman. "Leave it to Captain Sterling. Bloody hell but the man does listen when ye tell him a tale or two. How'd he manage it then?" "Damnation!" Lilly interrupted. The Scottish captain's brow arched at the all too familiar curse word. "OHHH!" Frustrated Lilly pushed herself free of the man's hold. "Will you listen?! Captain Sterling is badly hurt and if you can manage to take me away from the place surely you can take him as well!"
  16. Lilly continued to struggle as the large hand forced her to maintain her silence. The heavy, thick palm clamped down fast and hard, covering mouth and nose. It reeked of carrots and cabbages. As she was suddenly pulled close against her attacker's chest, thickly barreled and solid, she almost seemed familiar with the unwanted embrace. The distinct smell of cheap English wine mingled in his beard. Struggling with the man was more akin to the bear baiting matches she had witnessed back in London. All her flailing and kicking was pointless, he was steadfast, far too strong, and he had taken up a position he could easily defend. "Now be still, Mistress!" A harsh Scottish whisper sounded. "I mean you no harm. Now, if I let you go…not a word, what say ye?" Lilly suddenly stopped battling and slowly nodded her head. As the hand was lifted from her mouth she slowly turned to see her captor. In the shadows, another man approached, barely making a sound.
