  1. Oh, please...(Lilly says smiling lightly)... you're enjoying every single moment of being miserable with me
  2. I think that the punishment would be having to PAY...
  3. /\Yes indeed! Last year, but at a Wild West Event in IA. I was speeding. It was very late (or really early...depends on how you look at ti). Lady cop pulled me over...did the basics with me then asked me "The question!" It was then I had to do the 'walk of shame' in granny-boots and breath into the little machine. I wasn't sweating it at all...I was fine and didn't get a ticket. >Lady Cop was really pushy with questions and repeated the over and over again...sidekick cop was nice...(Good Cop/Bad Cop). \/Passing along the question...
  4. Sigh... I'm drive a 'soccer mom's' van. - 2005 Dodge Caravan - Silver. My DH drives a 2004 Dodge Ram quad-cab - Red. But before I got married I had some cool cars... First car I ever owned was a 1973 Orange Rag-Top VW Thing! Yup, and damn I loved it. It was a car that got you noticed and I would make it a habit on a Friday afternoon after class to drive around campus in the darn thing with a group of gals from my dorm in it. I would pop off the windows and door, put down the rag-top and go around Upstate New York (Oswego, Syracuse, Fulton, Dewitt, Cicero, Clay, Rochester...you name it)! ...yet, you'd see the Thing on the side of the road a lot too (especially on RT 81 and RT 690). It had a lot of issues...but I still loved it....

  10. "...There are such English men and women in most places of any great trade, both in Spain and ‘Portangell’ [Portugal], and in some places in Italy, and suchlike houses of entertainment are in most places where any ships come, that trade never failing till it hath confounded both body and soul into Hell, for go where you will, you shall sooner find where you may learn vice than virtue, for the way that leadeth to destruction is wide and easy to be found.” (Barlow, p. 163-4) Thank you kindly, Mission for the above information. It is quite interesting that even knowning the 'dangers' of such places (houses, ordinaries, taverns and such), that men/women would still flock to them as if they were moths to a flame; enjoying all the sins, vices, and lustful acts that man-kind through the centuries has always struggled with. (Lilly smiles) "It's a dirty job...but someone has to do it!"
  11. Well, looks like the Mighty Mickey Souris and his lovely Lady, Kate (aka Jessica) were wedded this past weekend. Such happy news! We, the Crewe of the Archangel, hope that the day was a grand one for you both and we wish you all the best in your future together.

  13. REENACTORFEST AT BRISTOL RENAISSANCE FAIRE! JULY 12-13, 2008 is a special weekend for Reenactors in the Midwest! The Bristol Renaissance Faire is promoting Reenactor Fest that weekend by encouraging historical reenactors of all time periods to come to the Fair dressed in your historical impression! It's going to be a crazy day, even for a place KNOWN to be crazy! The food, drink, entertainment and merchants at Bristol make the atmosphere magical... and YOU will make it even more so when you show up July 12 - 13th in your period kit! Please leave your functioning firearms at home, and all edged weapons (including bayonets) must be "peace tied" to the scabbard. This means securing it with string to your scabbard so that it cannot be drawn. The Bristol Rennaissance Fair is located just over the Illinois / Wisconsin border in nearby Kenosha, WI. Please visit the website for directions, hours, and additional details. We'll see you there!

  17. I love you guys! It's hard to leave everyone after having such a swell time... (Sniff...Sniff...hack...Sniff)
  18. Fyne job of it, Mr. Bottles. Captain/Maddogge...the rooms are suppose to be a tad bit bigger than the Sheraton. Perhaps we will be able to fit 50 or so pyrates in his room. I'll take the couch. And no...I'm not sharing!
  19. RF5 Room Night Raffle Winner is.... Congratulations to MATTHEW UTLEY-aka MISTER BOTTLES - Member of the Crewe of the Archangelfor being the winner of 2 free night's stay at the Westin for RF5! Thanks to everybody who bought tickets for your support!
  20. Right Fyne Rum it is! Upon our encounter at Blackbeard's in Hampton, Captain Sterling and I met up with Don Brown. As we introduced ourselves and chatted about the various events we went to, he mentioned Port Washington's Pirate Invasion. It seems that Don is also attempting to get the rum here in Wisconsin! Which I'm all for. Cap'n Pete had a very successful tornado party in his suite (eh..from what I remember ) and Don was kind enough to stop by and dropped off three cases full of both Key Lime and Molasses Reef. As you can see...I think there be a market for his rum here in Wisconsin!!!
  21. Great! When were you guys gonna let me in on that little joke?! Please remember that it was 'thrusted' upon me by our good Captain..."Here Lil, you can do it!" And that is the very quote good Captain Sterling gave me!
  22. Thank you Ramson and Iron Bess...you're both so kind. Lady B! I just heard reports about Cedar Rapdis being evacuated do to the river and flash flooding. Be safe there... Looks like our KISHWAUKEE VALLEY VIGILANCE COMMITTEE's annual trip to Usher's Ferry in Cedar Rapids, IA might be cancelled. We have a Wild West Event there in two weeks. The Event Coordinator, Ann C. has informed us that 80 percent of the site is under water and there is a chance of buildings floating off their foundations. I felt sick to my stomach when I read her email. This is a very cool site which we could do a lot of things...including bunking in the buildings over night not to mention actually cooking in the kitchen(s), working with tools, working with period correct equipment! This wonderful late 1800s site is now roughly under 20 feet of water...and it doesn't bode well once the waters receed, either.
  23. Update...Much better now... I cleaned up the blood, threw away any the gun and now feeding the next door neighbor's pigs the remains. All is good with world...
  24. Dutchie, This is great! Love to see stuff like this. A job well done!
