It's nice to see that Mr. d'Dogge has not let his success inflate his ego any.

Thanks Bo, I still think he should have to take the class, pay for the damages and is fined. Hopefully he has learned his lesson. -
Civil War Buff Fires Cannon, Hits Neighbor's House

I just saw this article on broadcast news. They said that Neighbors were fighting over a one firing a cannon. My first thought was what's wrong with that ...until they showed the cannon ball! What moron would actually use shot in a residential area? I can understand the understand the curiosity but PLEASE! I hope he is fined and has to patch the neighbors house AND is required to take a course that he pays for, on the use of black powder and respect for it! -
I had this into another thread but I think it was lost under the actual subject of the thread. LOL Does anyone have a tent I could borrow for PiP this year?

Anybody out there have a tent I could borrow for PiP? I don't know that the two trees I used last year will still be there this year.

Wisdom is good but no one listens anyway so I would like to be a shape shifter. I can soar like an eagle, be a fly on the wall, get through small spaces, run as fast as a cheetah, become as large as a house etc. You didn't say anything about restrictions. lol

How did I miss this? Happy Birthday ...a day late ...which is usually when I get things done anyway.

Silkie enters followed by a Ray who is properly dressed for the occasion, carrying a crate, he sets down the crate before Syren when she lifts the giant black and red striped bow she sees that it is full of jars of maraschino cherries! "This should hold you until you get to Sutlerjon's ship!" Silkie then gives the most ruthless she devil that has ever sailed the seas a BIG Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug! Happy Birthday lass!

Mission is correct. In the school setting I was bullied but I do recall other times when I was just plain mean to others, don't remember the exact reasons but I do recall putting others down, it didn't feel bad but it wasn't a good feeling either, thank goodness I outgrew that. I was also likely the "champion" for someone at some point but since I recall being the brunt of most of the bullying as a kid the opportunity didn't come up very often. heh I remember my 20th year high school reunion. There was another woman who as a girl was picked on. She apologized to me at the reunion because she would be happy when kids were picking on me and not her. We both agreed that we wouldn't change a thing because those experiences made us who we are today and quite frankly I like me (the majority of the time). LOL

I was bullied. I was overly emotional (still am at times),wore hand-me-down's (from twins who were taller), developed over the summer before any of the other girls in the class, went to a grade school with a class of only about 40 students and ...my last name is Fleckenstein. Kids can be cruel and when you react overly much they can be even worse. I wasn't the ground that the social ladder sat on. lol It was really bad until about mid year 7th grade or so. I was off sick for a week or so and a teacher must have had a discussion with the class because when I got back everyone was nice! Asking me to sit with them at lunch, not teasing me etc. That didn't last long but at least most people became less abusive. Once in high school with the other 800 plus students in my grade I was able to blend in a bit, I was still a misfit but I fit with the other misfits. Only once did the bullying become physical but after the 4'th time she slipped the heal of my shoe with the toe of her's I made a fist, straightened my arm, and quickly turned around. She was so close I ended up punching her. I did get threatened by a friend of hers but when I said that I I wouldn't punch her friend if her friend didn't keep giving me a "flat tire" it all ended and no one ever tried anything physical again. No, I didn't stick up for those being bullied but I did commiserate with them.

Aye, the lass is correct, the only time a woman’s head is uncovered is at a formal event or in the bedroom. I hate those caps ...any cap also ...I hate wearing my hair up but between the time in history and the actual heat up the hair goes. I let a few stray curls fall free (mind you strategically chosen stray curls) fall loose around my face.

I am not much for "reality" shows but I do find the "historic" ones somewhat educational even if not 100% historically accurate.

Welcome.

Indeed Swab ...just to "heat up the argument"!

Wonder what would happen if they did follow through with the deaths ...I mean, if you do something unacceptable in that society just pluck them out of the filming, have a funeral service and keep going. Wonder if anyone would end up "alive" at the end. If the individuals are being paid they could have their pay cut. Require them to know the accepted behaviors of the times. Heck, look at the Amish ...there is a study right there. People are ostracized for not living the way they are expected to. That would be a truer portrayal of things IMHO.
