  1. I also have a wonderful six pack of Guinness for Captain Jim.... he left before someone could give it to him.... seems someone took two of his last year and wished to replace them... um.. Jim... so far they are VERY good....
  2. Okay... yeah I'm a worry wort... just want to know everyone got home safe...still haven't heard from William Red Wake, Maddogge , Patrick, Bilgemonkey, the Callahans (sp), Tiger Bill, etc... Oh and Jack, I believe I have your coffee pot and several canvas bags, one with sugar and the other empty but has a nice braided edge.... do you need any of these items post haste?
  3. Sterling casts a warning glance at Brand.... **rattles shackles**
  4. No alcohol when the public is about.... we find absolutely nothing wrong with that.... alcohol and black powder just don't mix well...
  5. Oi, Mr. Brand, just leave out the bit about that last night in Barcelona...or there will be the scold's bridle along with the tree and fetters... AGGGGGGGGGGGG MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY FFFFFFFFFFEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! Just arrived back home after a twenty three hour drive and snow.... horrors... will post more once the coma passes but I just want to say thank you to everyone involved in setting up a cracking good event.... and to meeting the best bunch of people I think I have ever had the honor to meet! Because of you lot, I am already excited about PiP 2008 and hopefully, your appearance at Blackbeard's, Lockhouse, and whatever else I can possibly drag you all out to. William and I were up to the wee hours... aye, remember NO one gets any sleep at PiP except Patrick, already scheming for our next get together... You folks are the BEST and it was a tremendous privilege not only getting to meet you face to face, but being able to play alongside you all and getting to know you better! No matter how great one's kit is, it pales compared to folks with big hearts! You are the best!
  6. see what happens when you leave early... William, Maddogge, Billie, Mary, Silkie and I have been batting around a new scenario regarding the Mercury and Archangel crews... will post when I come out of my coma...
  7. Godspeed and will plead the Blood over ye every day...
  8. It does? Ye can hear that? ** banging ear** too many broadsides... one of these hours I'd best start packing... horrors... should be there sometime Wednesday... William pm me with a cell phone number if ye please...
  9. Well, if ye keep that up... the hell with worrying about feeding folks, they'll be so polluted they won't know whether they've eaten or not...you can just keep telling them they have!
  10. Amanjiria, I recommend you may wish to bed down close to us that way, (the Archangel will be in the Mercury camp) perhaps, we can combine the cooking effort, instead of being too spread out and yet trying to work together...
  11. ACK!! OUCH!!! OH my eyes... oops eye!!!!
  12. First thing that comes to mind to obtain... cooking gear.. two spits, two tripods, three large dutch ovens with lids, one large kettle for boiling water, one iron grate and two frying pans.... This stuff is heavy to transport, so if the fort could either invest in cooking gear or would hold it for all of us if we contributed... that would be one major coup.
  13. Aye, Maddogge makes for mighty fine target practice...
  14. Oi, a word of caution... skip the sheepskin, they be Scots ye know....
  15. Callenish and Saltypots, sorry to hear ye both won't be making the trip... ye shall be greatly missed. Bilgemunk, ye are certainly welcome to crash some where with us "good guys".. Silkie is also moving in... we promise not to work ye too hard to cover yer room and board...
  16. Actually I wonder how many folks would actually swoon at such a thing in those days.... almost seems like a Victorian mind set to me.... especially for middling sort to low class females, hanging out with pirates... I have no evidence on the subject but something strikes me as they would be a whole lot tougher about the situation....
  17. Speaking only for the Archangel, our surgeon is not attending PiP this year, but a lot of surgeons of the period didn't know what to do either... even the ship's carpenter could be called in to aid with an abundance of amputations.... any chance you could pick up some severed limbs prior to PiP? There are a number of sites that sell some pretty good ones.... If I remember to pack a few, I can give you a few balls to use for bullet removal.
  18. "Tis in good condition... but...some will tell ye I done took it off a dead guy... but to tell the truth, he was alive and "kicking" that last time I looked...."
  19. Ah... I'm getting rescued. Anyone tries picking me clean will find a smallsword lodged somewhere between several ribs.
  20. Ahem... afraid to say, but that must be ...um you... Kenneth... honestly mine smells nothing of the sort... although my lining is starting to turn black from wear... I often wear mine in heavy rain though... so maybe that has gotten rid of any possible smells?? or the tar is just masking it.
