Thank you Lady, much obliged for you organizing this bit...

**making note** shackle Diosa and bring her out to the camp more often.... As to tying the two together... well we have an entire year to work that out... the more we can, the more fun it will be for all of us... and the comment about the tickets/$$$ is well appreciated... I am sure it is something we can work out for the benefit of the fort... for without her, we have no place to prey... I mean play...

Since you've got yer only little thread here... I'll post these for you here.... This is thanks to our east coast surgeon... Jeff Miller of the Lockhouse.

I highly recommend a return trip to Key West... post haste!

Actually the cage isn't so much a cage but a series of iron bands placed about the body.... a whole lot easier to transport unless you plan to take your skeletons completely apart...
-
Actually it doesn't hide the meat, just changes the colour a bit.... slightly off... Oh and we had the honour of working with one of the real buzzards when shooting the island shots on Monday... so we may be able to tempt them to "hang around" a bit....
-
OMG!!! Very NICE but Maddogge in the dress... sorry that just steals the show...
-
A bit cocky aren't you. Just wait until they decide to leave you there.... Aye the worst is my mistress... Cheeky is all too quick to come pull on my legs to hurry the process along.... hmmmmm **scratches blond head in contemplation**

Great start....Now get back to work and finish it!!

Actually I was only in plain site for Captain Jim... I thought I had Patrick in view in the Archangel camp, but then all of a sudden he was gone... I thought I would be safe behind William Red Wake's wedge, but the ground was so thick with pine needles I never heard Patrick come up behind me.... besides, Capt. Jim made sure I was distracted...

Oh not to fret dear Lady, the scenario will very much rely on the "locals" that live and work in the Fort area. We hope to tie all together so everyone gets their "moment in the spotlight!" Several locals will be leading people from the Fort down to the beach during the appropriate times... and several "arguments" will be settle in the Fort amongst them that be shipwrecked and also between the shipwrecked and the locals... after all we VERY MUCH still want those battles to continue... The map is a much needed item... Fayma should print it up when Master Studley is finished with it along with a schedule for handouts to be given to the spectators. A large edition should also be posted at a center point for them in the fort and them in the camp, where any conflicts or necessary changes can be quickly posted as well for all to see.... If one is concerned that the folks may skip out on purchasing a ticket at the fort and just make their way down to the shipwreck camp, we could have the camp there as well, contained with someone there on the "gate" as well, with a stamped hand, showing whether or not a ticket has been purchased... as to caged skeletons, since they seem to be such a hit, I would suggest a total of four then... one in the fort entrance and three others strategically placed through out the grounds... maybe we could make a hide and seek type of game out of them for the kids....they had an excellent questionnaire that was given to the kids at Paynetown... they had to talk to many of us in order to answer the questions and then receive a small prize...

Geez, you don't have to challenge us, If the idea is approved, we would love to make a skeleton in a gibbet I'll save you the time... have one already in the works.... he WILL be done in time for next year, just need some old clothes, his size, to tar him in....

They were kind enough to suggest building a large damaged main mast... could you possibly pm me with contact info for Nigel as well? He mentioned knowing a carpenter he could put to work...
-
Oh just one quick note as well.... the hangee does NOT have to die.... I have been rescued a number of times as well....

We are currently putting together a reference list and would be happy to add in the pictures and some sort of video. We have a number of museums that are only too happy to recommend our hangings (the guys have been doing them now for about 12 years or more)...as to the kids... they are usually the first to start yelling "Hang Him!!!" and they almost all stick around to see how the stunt is accomplished. Kids are amazing individuals really... once they see the rigging, to them it becomes purely a movie stunt and no longer someone dying. It's rough having to haul the gallows around and have a last minute change like that, just to let it be known, none of us are upset with Harry. I have dealt with the park service before. .. especially during the bicentennial and they just have some rather strange rules which sometimes they enforce and sometimes they don't. If we can make the hangings work next year all the better, if not, we shall still do it after hours for the reenactors.

Well if you wish to portray militia, any type of civilian or hunting gear would be fine... why look uniform at all then?
-
I am trying hard not to laugh. Right now, I can't tell who's cuter, you or the puppy...
-
Good English oak would be wonderful but costly so not necessary... If it comes cheap or better yet free, and since it must look blown to bits... the pallets sound like a good starting place...
-
Will contact you via the link as you requested... a sit down to discuss the event could be arranged some time in the future if you like....and if worse comes to worst I can always send my secretary as no one knows me or the way I think, better than she does.... as to working the hanging into the scenario, I don't see it as being difficult. Some crewe photos so you can get the idea of what we portray.... Indentured servant Bess Haggerty Maddogge Sterling and one dead midshipman Silkie and Mad Mary from left to right, Sterling, Pete Straw, Rats and Mr. March a hanging Jack Just to give you an idea... unfortunately I do not have a current group shot, but can send you more pictures of individual crew members if you require them...

Will be needing a head count, as well as how much space yer tent requires... please reply via the Archangel group site. Thank you.

Off the top of my head the most needed items/effects: Splinter wounds Black powder wounds and burns Debris from two ships blown to Kingdom come when one's powder magazine is accidentally ignited during a battle and the other was too close due to a boarding action.
