  3. Syren, I posted... damn now where did ye go? Oh! ** grabs one of the cookies**
  4. Does anyone have a picture of Blackjohn wearing his pistols? He uses the ribbons or at least he has tried them...
  5. Mine??? Need to check with my better half, by far, and confirm, but I don't think there be any plans fer that weekend... as for a yard of ribbon "Xed" in the front... still rather snug even on a slim guy such as yerself... tell ye what I'll show you come Sept. For me, it hedges on whether that ribbon is fastened permanently into the X shape...
  6. Unless there is more than a yard of the ribbon, which is hard to judge from both the sketch and the photos, but doesn't really look like there is, I would think your "back pack" approach wouldn't work..
  7. Tied at the ends and fashioned in the shape of an "X"... was it fastened, stitched, bound in some method at the center of the X to force it to stay so? Or was it just laid out in that fashion with the ends tied together?
  8. Play by plays from where? PiP? Surely ye jest? I will be out in the thick of it... there is no bloody way I shall be missing out on a or on the phone during a battle, or a funeral, or a brawl, or a hanging, or a ... damnation...sorry you are going to miss so much.
  9. At the rate I'm going, I most likely won't be there... But if I do, hope not to disappoint as I won't be runnin back and forth, I reckon I will be more than safe just standing still.
  10. Ye couldn't hit the broad side of a barn!
  11. not sure ye hogged the whole bottle... By nature Tawnies are mature ports...are you sure it wasn't a Ruby?
  12. edit Sorry not really sharing, more like boasting on my part... hate that... Okay now back to Pip.
  13. I shall let ye decide, since ye'll be riding in it LONG before I ever will...
  14. Dutchie, when I first broke my right foot, I went a year and a half not knowing that it had never healed in the first place... not surprising, British doctors put the cast on which broke across the bottom that same night at dinner..(don't ask). I continued to ride, hunt, walk, run and fence the entire duration without a hitch, until it suddenly went numb. Off to my brother's podiatrist (he's a competitive long distance runner) and low and behold I had a 1 1/4" space still between the bones...it never knitted… so surgery and a bit of fishing line and I was back together again...ahem... until I broke it again the following week at a wedding (don't ask)... back in for a second operation. During the operation I kept telling the doc, that I could feel what he was doing… no pain, just knew when he was actually touching the bone…he said I was imagining it, did a few tests to prove me wrong and proved me right instead. Seems my body burns off pain blockers in 15mins or less along with a high pain threshold, he told me I was a doctor’s nightmare. Any way… Well now it seems some where along the way in the past ten years I broke my left foot as well... can't imagine when or how, unless it was kicking a wall, when I should have been kicking Cheeky (don't ask).. At RF 4, this past Feb. it started to get annoying. I thought maybe the buckle on the shoe had shifted and was just presing uncomfortably on the top of my foot. Went to the doctor for damaged tendons in my wrist (thanks to the dog) and asked him to take a look at the foot as well... He told my left foot was broken, had been for awhile, and never healed….I just rolled my eyes. Any way to make a long story short, now seems tis time to put the left one back together with fishing line and surgery as well as the right one... But as far as being carted about in a wagon... Tis not going to happen, I’ve managed this long, I will continue to do so, with or without the surgery (Pip and its costs come first, after getting a price check, the surgery will most likely wait) I will, unlike you, still be going to PiP and still be doing my full routine. I think the best is to hobble about Reenactor Fest in Feb. after surgery. Since you wimped out for PiP, maybe, Mistress Nancy, you can drive me to Chicago in the winter…
  15. Damn, damn, damn, can't walk and don't have time for surgery between now and PiP....
  16. And Dutch will never see ye drinking from yer pewter mug.... he be too much of a nancy boy to make PiP... "Its too long of a drive..." So what's wrong with flying miss nancy?
