Dead Fred was busted?!!! On what grounds? I 'm blown away... Who in their right mind wouldn't laugh at a fake dead guy hanging from the yardarm of a pirate ship?!! What next... are they gonna complain that the Disney POTC ride has too much graphic violence? That's ridiculous. *takes out dagger, but decides not to blame the cops but the friggen-idiot whiner who doesn't like Dead Fred.* Muttering irritably about who could not like Dead Fred and carves: Oh ye' o' weak stomach n' whiney of voice.... ye deserve to live with yerself.

Thanks mates, I took a long lunch and ran up there to pull off the tarps- it should be sunny today and tomorrow. We've got some wet spots and some that ran, but most of it set up pretty well. There's nothing that shouldn't cover over in the next coat. Leaving it out today and will put another coat on over lunch tomorrow, that should pretty much finish the brown if all goes well. Yeah I know what you mean Coastie... pirates just didn't do turquoise blue, ye know?!!!

*Quill sees Saber's carving on the privy wall and is much surprised that he went into the privy, as he usually tends to "enjoy nature" during such moments. * Wow... this must mean he really loves me if he went in there just to leave me a message! *So Quill decides to leave Saber a message, where she knows he'll find it, outside the privy, where he prefers to "hang out."*

We had a rainy night, but the paint made it through under the tarps, we only lost one exposed step on the trailer. So far so good. It was too drizzly on the mountain to remove the tarps this morning, but we've got a forcast of "Partly cloudy" so I may run up the mountain at lunch to remove them and give it some sun. Keep yer cutlasses crossed!!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! It's been raining off n' on all day today. I've been sitting in me classroom, worrying about what sort of a slimey mess I would come home to, with the coat of primer on the Land Shark having been covered in tarps while still wet to protect it from the rain. I came home and... WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!! THE PRIMER HAS SET DESPITE THE RAIN AND THE LACK OF SUN!!!!! YEAH!!! LOOK OUT SAN JOSE, THE LAND SHARK IS COMIN' DOWNTOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OW!!!!!!! *moon walks, grins*

Basket-style coffee filters work well for making powder bags. They are cheap and they burn away. The basket shape holds the powder, like it would the coffee, then you just tie it shut with thread. I learned that trick from the Captain, aboard the Royaliste.

The Royaliste may not have a "Sister Ship" but she will have an "Ugly Little Step-Sister Ship"!!!

Yeah, I'm glad we discovered that flaw before a rainy parade- sheesh, the stuff looked good, but ran like watercolors under the hose! By the way Captain Gary, Nyre and Captain Jack- I've added a mention of "Land Shark Patrons" to the Land Shark Page Captain Gary for offering the Royaliste's figurehead to reproduce and Nyre and Captain Jack for constructing the figurehead.
