  7. Johnson kept watch aboard the Dog as was his duty. The hasty exit of the Captain raised his curiosity ten folds. Nicholas watched as William left the ship in the able hands of Mister Lasseter. As Dorian whispered his orders to the crew, Johnson simply nodded his head non-challantly as not to draw any unnecessary attention. Mister Lasseter conversed with Mister Pew, then retreated below deck. Within an instant, Dorian returned adorned with twin Dragoon pistols. Johnson's squinted right eye widened in quiet excitement. Action. Or merely the possibility of it caused Nicholas' anticipation to grow. Leaving his position at the swivel gun mounted railing, Johnson approached Dorian respectfully. " Mister Lasseter, sir. I couldn't help but notice the two fancy little additions to yer' attire. I be wonderin' if'n I would be in need o' a fashion upgrade as well ? "
  8. Johnson stood on deck readily polishing his pride and joy, "Yer Maker". The medium sized swivel gun's double locks gleamed in diligent work. "Maker's" barrel had beheld quite a many enemy of the Watch Dog, and was integral in scattering possible boarders. Johnson wanted everything right. In the event that a confrontation ensued, "Yer Maker" would surely be ready to send someone to meet their's. Wiping the sweat from his brow, Cut-throat Johnson nodded in satisfaction as he made one last wipe of the gun's swivel hinge. *Aye...* he thought to himself *....yer a beauty indeed, Maker. The last beauty a blaggard'll see if'n he gets too close to our railin's *.
  9. Thanks Kass., I'll check it out. JoshuaRed, you make very good points against being barefoot, but I was wondering about the debate of boots versus shoes, why one would be better than the other. I've heard people argue on the forum that boots would be slippery on deck. Along those lines, wouldn't shoes be slippery as well ?
  10. I have heard that boot are not practical on deck of a ship. Any reason why buckled shoes would be better ? Sounds to me like being barefoot would probably be best (climbing the ratlines, etc. ). Anyway, just my question and two cents.
