I have to agree with Rumba. I've been a member of quite a few forums and whatnot, especially when I was younger (hehe, like how I talk like I'm 83 as opposed to 23?) and I have to say that there is much less of the usual nasty drival here then what goes on in other places. The pub is pretty clean by most standards, and I haven't run into a lot of the crap I did when I was a member of an amature fantasy writing/artwork site. It was redicilous the amount of 13 year old brats that would post just to get their jollies by insulting work people have put hours into. This is actually the longest I've gone posting on a board for a few years for just that reason, and I have to say that I quite like it here. And we will run across the few wee pirates who are actually curious and enthusiastic about piracy in all it's forms, and figure the best place to start is to talk to people like us (or rather yall, since I'm still learning myself). As for the trolls, well, they'll either dissapear or get used to being ignored or run through. Pyrates have little use for nonsense. Pardon my spelling, I know it's awful. ARRRR!!

Being stuck on a plane for 6 hours tends to leave one with scatterbrained ideas, like this one. None of them were good, but I figure we can see what we can come up with Remember, five syllables, then seven, then five. ahem! hey guys!! Sorry I dissapeared for so long, but I was on vacation back home in colorado and didn't have access to a computer. Thanks again for all the help, and believe it or not I'm inadvertently getting help with my writing from my yoga philosophy professor who used to be an english professor! We do journal enteries ever week and shes letting me know where my weak points are in my mechanics. Unfortunately I think I bit off more than I can chew with the fulltimeschool/full time work thing, and haven't gotten very far on any of my writing, either the short story or the worldbuilding for the book I wanna write. I told olaf that hopefully I'll have something next week since I'm camping this weekend and should have some writing time.

yeah, thats sounds like an Idea for me. I thinkI'll turn my persona bio into a short story and yall can tell me what ya think. I've never written anything even semi-historical so this should be fun:-)

okay so heres the deal: I've been reading anything I could get my hands on since I was old enough, and writing for just about as long. I've been told by many people I'm rather good at it and I would love to become a publish writer some day. My problem is mechanics, which any normal writer already has ingrained in their mind. Unfortunately it was discovered when I was already an adult that I suffer from both ADD and mild dyslexia, making the learning process for me a bit harder, as concepts that come easier to others don't as much to me. My college told me that I should just shell out more money for these remedial english classes, which I can neither afford nor fit into my schedule that already includes bother fulltime work and full time school. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might be able to do, such as home tutorials or similar things? Please Help, Marona

wow, thats probably the single most disgusting thing I've heard of someone doing at a FAMILY oriented celebration. Don't let ME see the SOB, I haven't given a good old fasion asswhoopin' in a while, and I can't think of anyone more due for one than that. BTW: Does ANYONE know who has the picture of me and that yummy long-haired corsair??? I really really really want a copy:-( not to mention I also need copies of all the other pictures. Speaking of which, I laced that new corset laterally in the back since I was too sick to pay attention and bought it too big (oh well, I have to do halloween parties for my kids on my property, and they don't need to see that quite yet). I'm lucky I can see over those suckers!!!

OMG!! Crimson, your daughter is the most adorable well-behaved *tiny* children I have ever met!! I can't WAIT until Kristy gets her pictures developed! :) BTW - a random side note: the song "What do You do With a Drunken Salior" has that line "Put him in the bed with the Captians daughter" is actually a corruption of "give him a taste of the Captians daughter" the "Captian Daugher" being the cat -o-nine tails!! Yeah, the heat was not fun, esp. after the crap early in the day. I slept for 13 hours lastnight, and almost couldn't get out of bed this morning for work. hehe, oh well, who says fun doesn't have it's prices?
