A fine idea there Miss Swan. Wil digs into the pocket of his waist coat and pulls out a small leather cup. He gives it a few taps knocking free a bit of gunpowder before holding it out. There ya go now, fill'r up!
-
No need for such formalities with me luv, just plain Wil will suffice.

Aye, Miss Swan is it. Wil pauses a moment as he tips his tricorn to the ladies. I’s see you ‘ave yer hands full o' Nelson's blood. Well if in ya insist…yes, I’ll join ya’s. I be Wil Firethorn if in ya haven't 'eard, ship's gunner and whatever else the skipper can dig up. 'Tis a pleasure indeed. Now what says you Mister Lasseter, shall we 'ave our leave?

Wil heads topside after completing his day’s duties.
He appears on deck looking a bit soiled after spending the last few hours or so sifting a few barrels of gun powder. Good eve ta ya’s. Did I’s hears mention of a swim, I could sure use a good rinse and rum! ...did I mention rum?

Excellent! Thanks for the info.
Next time I’m headin’ down to Cape May with me crew we’ll have to check it out. :)
I still want to get down to Bivalve and see the Schooner Meerwald.

Well since I can't make it down to Hampton for the Blackbeard Fest, I'm now pushing the family to take these more local trips. It be only about 1.5 hrs for me to Fort Mifflin. It would be great to take in the sights and meet a few of you pirates. :)
It will be a last minute decision, have a few errands to do in the morning, then we'll see if everyone's up for a little road trip.
-
Bummer!
It seems it be about a 6.5 hour trip for me and the wife won't allocate the funds needed for spending the weekend, spent everything on our pending FLA trip, so I's wont be headin' down. Have fun and take a bunch o pictures.

Thanks Charity, great pic's. I was wondering what went on at an "Elf Fantasy Fair". :)

Ahoy Cap'n! ...Already be preparing me crew for the journey south for said festival. The youngin's are not be likin' long rides in the automobile but I be assurin' them it will be well worth the trip.

Sounds like a great event, might have to talk the family into driving down for the weekend.

What is the origin of my name be more the question than what it means, because it really doesn’t mean anything. But, its beginnings go back a few years when I started online role-playing; I had about eight characters going and one of which was a female elf by the name of Firethorn. The name I found on a local gift shop and I thought it would make a great moniker, hence Firethorn was born.
When that site kinda died I moved on to another and I signed on as Firethorn and gave birth to a rogue type character by the name Wilcox Firethorn, which I still play as a ranger type.
When I was directed to this site by our wondrous MerryDeath, I just brought Wil along and turned him into a Pirate.
...and so here I am.

Ah yes Vegas!
Me mum lives there, been out twice to visit and going again this fall for me and the mrs. wedding anniversary. We are planning to stay at Paris, this way I can say I took her to Paris for our anniversary. We plan to hit one of those wedding chapels to renew our vows, we always said we should have eloped, weddings are a pain. Oh yeah, we are celebrating twenty years!

I plan on attending!

I also looked into purchasing a few ships and crew from eBay, but after speaking with a few “purists” from the local game store I held off, for now at least. They are starting a league on Sunday afternoons and they don’t look too kindly on internet buyers. They believe in buying the packs and then trading with others to build your collection. I guess it’s a matter of ones opinion aye? At any rate, my daughter has claimed the Pirate fleet, while I have the Brits and my son got stuck with the Spanish.

Arrrr! The youngin' received a couple of booster packs for Christmas.
Even my eldest took an interest in the game and we've been to the game store to grab a few more packs. I've even been spending some time on the web sight to pick up a few hints on building a fleet and strategy.

Yes, it's the Backyardigans!
I've seen this one at least twice. The video is a chopped up version of the whole episode. They can be seen on Nickjr @ 11am and 1pm(ET/PT)

POTC just wouldn't be the same without Barbossa and his miscreant crew. Without Barbossa, you might as well call it "The Continuing Tales of 'Captain' Jack Sparrow" instead of POTC.
But isn't that pretty much what the story is... it is about Cap'n Jack Sparrow and his continuing adventures.

Caught the parade on the local cable channel, we appear on screen for about 30 seconds. Huzzah!
