  1. PRP will be the 'official' pirate group for this event.
  2. Hank Silka was a researcher here at the Huntington. Always open to questions and had a true love of the sea. I saw him a week before he died and he seemed fine and in good spirits. Alas it seems I will not be able to attend the memorial. Fair winds Hank! http://henrypsilka.com/
  3. Hawkyns The male historian I told you about sent me over to Barbara Donnegan to ask her. She said there might be something in the Calendar of State Papers Foreign for the years you're looking for since Rupert would have probably been issuing them from Holland. There's another possible source she says but she need to go to her desk to get the citation. She also suggested any biography might have something even if it is very little.
  4. I'm a Ford Mustang, too. (thank goodness, I was afraid I was going to be a Ford Pinto ) Heaven forfend! I mean we know what would have happend if you were a Ford Pinto and sustained damage to your rear BOOOOM!
  5. http://tomorrowland.us/tlm/ You are a Mandarin! You're an intellectual, and you've worked hard to get where you are now. You're a strong believer in education, and you think many of the world's problems could be solved if people were more informed and more rational. You have no tolerance for sloppy or lazy thinking. It frustrates you when people who are ignorant or dishonest rise to positions of power. You believe that people can make a difference in the world, and you're determined to try. Your scores: Talent: 44% Lifer: 36% Mandarin: 54%
  6. There's a historian here who might know, but he is gone for the day. I'll ask him tomorrow.
  7. http://www.tomorrowland.us/cgi-bin/ptest-sportscar I'm a... You are a Mercedes SLK! You appreciate the finer things in life. You have a split personality - wild or conservative, depending on your mood. Wherever you go, you like to travel first class. Luxury, style, and fun - who could ask for more?

  9. No Merrydeath it wasn't any of those. The wedding took place aboard a tall ship in Baltimore Harbour. The cake was a pirate ship and a lot better made than tthoses pictures you posted. It showed the bride and groom walking the plank as the real bride and groom did during the ceremony. Most of the guests were in garb. Yeah I know the Ace of Cakes website only mentions the Armed Forces cake.
