  3. Wow so much going on, this will be yet another GREAT MDRF weekend. The KOA camping sounds like a great idea - I would love to get another use out of my period tent this year. Queenrogue - did you work Sterling ? On the sashes - It is sounding like a sahs tied around the arm - Yes/No - Have we settled on colors yet ? I am planning on having the Juryrigs flag completed by then, and we will be carrying the banner with us at faire 3 Days till opening !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Aye I have been alone in the Captains cabin since since shortly after the begining of the year. For me sailing solo has been a fun adventure. I do love the freedom of being single, but I would like to share that adventure with someone. There is no rushing when that day will happen, so till then I will continue to enjoy being a single Captain. A round to all the singles on me !

  6. I'm BAACCCKKKKKK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 10 days at Pennsic War I have anchored the ship off the Jersey Shore for the week so the Captain can get some R&R before MDRF opening on Sat. I will be leaving here in time to drop anchor in the Revel Grove parking lot by 9 AM. I have much ships business to catch up on, so expect to hear alot from the Captain this week. ALSO !!!! 2 New local crew members Sir Nic is now Ships Engineer. Nic runs manages Thor's HAmmer and the House of Terror at MDRF. "Kat" has signed on as ships Chirurgeon, and will work to make sure that evryone stays healthy and well (so we can pillage and plunder more !) 5 Days and Counting !!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Aye mateys - sorry for the delay in posting, but I was up with part of the crew causing michief on the Saco river in Maine this past weekend. First of all let me welcome aboard the latest three crew members : Blenderwench Crimson Corsair Moonshadow I will be updating the website with your crew information this week before I head off to Pennsic. If you have received your packets from Lars :) please PM me with your Pin number For opening day at MDRF we will probably have at least 8-10 members of the crew onsite - and we will be meeting at 1:45 with everyone else @ the White Hart. Gute Morgan - We'll have to chat about that Parley over a pint - will you be at MDRF opening ? That Is All !
  8. Thanks BloodyBuckets ! The Juryrig is a privateer crew organized under the International Fellowship of Royal Privateers. We are home ported out of the MD Renaissance Festival, and are likely to show up at any tempting event from Virginia to Maine. Some of the events we have been at this year include: VA Ren Faire Blackbeards Pirate Festival Sterling Faire PARF Celtic Fling 4th Annual Pyrates Royale Cruise Upcoming Events Tux Faire Pennsic MD Ren Faire King Richards Faire While the crew as a whole does not do re-enactments, myself and several others do on a individual basis. When not of plundering and pillaging most of the crew is can be found in the MD/PA/VA area, whith the rest in NY, RI and NH.

  17. BTW- This is a 2 day event and I will be there both days. The planed meeting I posted before is for Sat., but if there are people coming Sunday we can do it both days.

  19. For everyone attending Celtic Fling lets plan to meet for a meet and greet and share a pint. I propose meeting at 12 Noon at Capt. Shucks Pub which is right by the big Pirate Ship. Since the event starts at 11 that'll give people time to get there and relax a bit first. Any thoughts ?
  20. Party Details : Ships Shoot July 10th 2-4 PM Pirate Party 5 - ??? A period dinner (beef stew, cheese, bread and fruits) will be provided along with a pirate punch. Feastware and Garb is encouraged, but plates and utincils will be provided along with coolers keep your booty (bottles) cold. As stated before there is plenty of space to pitch a tent onsite and some inside space to crash in. Everyone is welcome to stay. To all the Washington DC area Pyracy folks : Come out and wish Paisley a fond farewell as she sails for warmer waters ! Please RSVP to me at duncan.mcguyver@thejuryrig.com or on here. Directions will be provided.

  23. Going to have to pass on this one - heading east to put my pyratical toes in the sand for the weekend and visit one of my favorite suttlers.
