I'm doing some research on brewing my own beer. My father used to do it years ago and with the completion of my bar I think it's about time I stock it with my own beer. My eventual goal is to make my own rum but I figured I'd start with something smaller, in this case beer. Try my hand at that and then move onto the liqueurs. So what advice do you have for a first time brewer? Any tips or tricks I should try to make the process smoother and the product better? Thanks for your help Capn Antonio Malasses

Before we decided to install a permanent bar into this room we actually ran a barrel like this for filtered water system. (The only request my wife had for this project) Putting a few more along the walls for beer taps could be very possible in the future. Capn Antonio Malasses

Thanks Jas! A crewmate and I are currently discussing brewing our own beer and RUM. Oak Barrels will definitely be needed. And for them to be functional would work on multiple levels. Thanks Again Capn Antonio Malasses

Jas, Those are some AWESOME lamps. I will definitely want to get a few to hang around my bar. On a related note I think I'm starting to stray form the strictly historical bar. I have slowly been moving away as I found more and more things I like. It's tough to stay within the confines of what is "historical" without going "Wow that piece would look great in my bar" to something pirate themed but less then period accurate. That being said I don't want this project to sail off course but I want it to be fun. Tonight I put the finishing touches on a few things and I'll take some pics to post.
