  1. Sorry for not replying to the few PMs I did get, but I have been out of town for a while now. I guess my post got run over saying that I will not be attending this event because of work ;) . Maybe next year, who knows? Hope you all have a blast down there!!

    ;)

No, I noted it, but with the hope that something would change. Sorry that you can't make it this year.

Thank you very much good sir!! I was hoping as well, but sadly...I have no choice in the matter. I hope to see alot of pictures so that I can get motivated for next years event......provided it does not fall on the first weekend of the month.... December 4-5. Being the low man on the totem pole at work means I usually have to work those days since the other sgts take that weekend off ;)....so here I cross my fingers for next year!!!

  3. Congrats!!! That is great news to hear!! Glad you got what you wanted :) !!!

So is there a simul-cast in the interwebs? Perhaps we can tune in and listen?

Ditto!! I think that would be awesome!!

  4. Yeah...still trying to find those hacks that call themselves the "Full Moon Marauders"...scurvy bollix-y crew they are I heard!!

    On a side note....

Thanks to Crimson for setting all of this up and for the invite!!

Thanks to the other crews that showed up at the encampment!! There was alot of fun times and I cant wait to see this event grow even more!!

I know for a fact we had more fun at the camp than we did at the Pirate Ball...nothing beats sitting around a camp fire singing, drinking, and have a good time with like minded and fun people!!

  5. I have to say...Lady Brower does a fantastic job of cooking at events...just ask the Pirate Brethren or the Skullduggery Crew...she put two skewers in the ham and tied it to the spit and twisted the twine once in a while so that it would spin vertically on one side of the fire and cook veggies on the other half...highly reccommend asking her about it...food was fantastic at both events!!

  6. I dont try and put on an accent, I am in the same boat as Hugh...I have a slight accent (I dont hear it, but my friends do) as it is now, but once I start drinking....well lets just say my old man and I understand each other lol...all of my friends smile and nod...now if I try to put on an accent...I sound worse I think...

As far as typing an accent...no bueno IMO....I end up skipping them since I dont feel like 'translating' or trying to make sense of it

I just type as I would normally think...which is why I use so many ellipsis when I type I guess lol

  7. I have what it takes but only cause some of the questions just reminded me of Basic Training B)

-When you dont get 8 hours of sleep....

I sleep about 6 hours on average now...Basic I would get 4 just cause we would sneak to the latrine to fold our clothes and cut strings off our uniforms...or polish boots

-Forced to live in close quarters with a group of strangers...

Temper tents in field training were not very big....I camp a good bit so it doesnt bother me

    -Rocky boat ride....

Only thing I have to compare with this is roller coasters...I'm a roller coaster junkie lol

    -Freeze dried food...

Field Rations (MRE) and I dont really eat alot as it is..this one would have to be up in the air, but I think I could do fine

    -Heights, Open spaces, big seas...

height...cliff jumping, done! Open spaces....camping for 6 months straight, done! Big seas.....never been out on the open sea...would be something to do I think....how far to europe I wonder???

    -Normal Daily Routine..

I never have a routine really...but I do adapt pretty quickly to change I think

    -Xbox, iPod, Phone...

again, basic training and camping for months...I dont even really watch TV

    -Biggest yachting exp....

None..other than than taking a row boat out..could be my down fall

so I'd say I wouldnt be the BEST candidate, but I think it would be fun to try....anyone care to take me out on the seas? B)
