Oi Mate! Just got the flag yesterday..we have a pending postal strike up here, so I was happy it arrived safe and sound. and- oh what a flag, me hearties! We be VERY happy, we be...and I cannot recommend the maker enough! I'll post a pic next week when we unfurl it for the first time at the first parade o' the season! -

The Buccaneers of the Black Fleet were out in force for the opening of Pirates of the Caribbean:On Stranger Tides. 3 days o' swashbucklin', singin', trivia, and dressing up the little scallywags as Jack Sparrow and Blackbeard and having them act out an epic battle all around the theatre. -

Although I have some problems with pacing and character development...I would've liked it to slow down a bit and give us some backstory! Overall- I LIKED it! My biggest disappointment was probably the music.I would have liked something a bit more fresh..I think we only got one new thematic piece, and the rest was a rehash, including some parts which to me were evocative of characters in the first 3 movies, like Will. However- I REALLY liked Scrum..nice having a shanty man aboard.

I'll forgive you if you are stranded on a dessert island. No need for the pistol and shot, I'll have the lemon meringe pie. Pirates...god love 'em. Even the Acrobat/Klingon hybrid ones....
