Small hanger or Cutlass for sale. Blade is 23 in long. 28 in overall. Has some rust. Have been cleaning the rust off but some remains. Has "Made in India" on one side of blade with scroll work on both sides. Looks like blade was chromed, but starting to flake. Would make a great sword for child or lady. Could still use some work. No scabbard $40 includes shipping. Pictures to come. Thanks, Terry Carter. Trade for other pirate kit considered. Just getting started.

Hey folks - Unfortunately a buckle was cracked on my one and only pair of shoes I plan to wear to PiP. Do any of you have suggestions as to a good sturdy pair I should get (type of metal or sheen matters not).

I've picked up some 1 1/2" manilla line here and am looking to sell it off relatively inexpensively. It's not period hemp but it's an acceptable substitute. I'm seeing it online for $3.85 a foot but I have it here for less than half that. I'll cut to any length you want and ship it out ups ground. If anyone wants any please let me know.

Being the cheap bastard that I am and having no passable piratical weapons I've decided to turn this: in to something like this: (both images used without permission, I'll yank them if requested) This will be done entirely with a grinder, hacksaw, file, and sandpaper. Obviously I'll never be able to duplicate it entirely - the method the handle is attached is obviously modern and the angle of the blade is probably 5 deg in rather than parallel to the handle but so far it's coming along very well. Note, cutting tool steel - even cheap chinese harbor freight tool steel - is NOT easy but it can be done. I only wish I still had access to a plasma cutter. My shape i…

Ahoy Mates, I recently purchased a pair of pig skin boots. I'm not into the period shoes (I did civil war, and brogans can kiss my arse) so I went with the "cooler" looking foot wear. Anyway, they feel and look like a football which makes me sad =(. When I walk around in them they make that pleather sound that irritates me to no end. They also keep creases because they are fresh and they just don't have the right look to me. Is there a way I can weather them to not squeek and get become flexible. They are really comfortable on the inside but I would like a worn look on the outside. Thank you for any advice you could give me. Yaaaar!

Ahoy Mates, I had a rather rough time hunting down websites to pick up some garb. I would like to write this thread in hopes to help out any other swabbies, like me, gear up for pyratiness. During my search I have come across some really great online vendors (I don't get out much). I shall list the online vendors I have used and will update this thread whenever I come across more. I tried my very best to order from PEOPLE! not automated super sites. Supporting the craft is as important to me as living it. Leather Mystics (this link should be working now) was my very first order and they were extremely nice. I even gave crazy measurements (I was drunk at the time)…

Cleaning through some of my stuff and found a pair of Fugawee "Franklin" style shoes. They are size 8, width E, and were worn only for a weekend by one of my friends, so they are like new with some wear on the soles and heels. I am asking $74.00 (or best offer) plus $10.00 shipping. This is a $30.00 saving, Fugawee sells these for $104.50 + $10.00 for shipping. To see pictures of them check out the Fugawee website: http://www.fugawee.com/Men's%20Colonial.htm Please email me if interested at billyyankjohnnyreb@yahoo.com Thank You, Bryan Stefancyk

Hey all, so here is the deal. I'm in a bit of a financial bind and after totaling up the garb I want from online stores I almost spilled my drink. So I figured it would be better to make it myself. My only problem is, I don't really no how to sew or how cloths are put together. I have a general idea after being in homeic but that was years ago. If I could get some pointers on making a Jerkin and Pants to fit the time period that would be much obliged. Or even patterns, I've looked, but I guess not in the right places. This is the time of Jerkin I'm looking for (found online for $95) I would like it long with maybe pockets on the bottom but must have buttons up the mi…

Just ran across several maps on eBay that the seller claims are original 1723 maps... there are several regions for sale separately and seemed very reasonably priced at the moment, I imagine if they are real that they have been removed from a book.

I've a pair of bone colored shoes I purchased a year and a half ago for a gown I no longer have and most likely will never used these shoes again in the bone color. So... now I want to change them from bone to black. I want the heel though to be red. Anyone have suggestions? Ideas? what works, what doesn't? Must I strip the color? Or just use a black leather dye over the white? Help? Please? ~Lady B

Alrighty... More eBay stuff here... and desperately trying to get rid of stuff here, too. So... I have up for sale on eBay, Bloody Davy's old pirate outfit. Colonial boys outfit It is NOT really totally period correct but it's pretty good for something not period correct. The breeches are fall front with a waist adjustment in the back. It's a mixture of machine and hand sewn with cloth covered buttons. It's in a faux poly suede that is comfy, my nephew picked it out and he liked the material, said it was comfy. The shirt is cotton muslin with wood buttons. The waistcoat is of a suede like Poly material and lined as well. The buttons are cloth covered of the ma…
