Just wanted to say howdy to all you folks. This looks like a really interesting website. Stop on by my end of the bar, plenty of empty coconut shells to fill with what ever drinks quench your thirst!

I introduce you......me! Hee, i have a cracked version of boulderdash. Arrrggghhh. I have no idea why i signed up here. Maybe because i'm barmy, bonkers, wicked.....or just a lying, looting, stealing pirate. Caveat emptor Edit: is there some "fun" things to do here?

Hello, I was told by Rumba Rue to just get on this site and start talking. I'm very new to this pirate theme, I'm usually performing/singing at a Renaissance Faire! So, please be patient with me as I learn to talk the talk! I want to know if I may utilize the signature below on all my posts, or if I can only use it in the Plunder section. I don't want to tick off any seasoned pirates! Thanks - Deanna

Swabbie's mate Limpy 'ere, at yer service, ready for action for the good ship and crew' Cap'n! Whatfore shall my first task be, Sir? Me 'ist'ry? Surely! 40 summers under me belt, an ex-wench and one replica. SeaTown Harbour's me port-o'-call. Mode of transport? Well, erm...you mean me Daihatsu Charade? Laugh if ye must, Cap'n, but she's The SS SeaMonkey, and she's all 'eart. "Why Limpy?" Fair 'nuff: A scalawag roll o' rug yard-armed me back while goin' up the stair an' that was the end of me career...and a fine one at that. So, here I be, humbly at thy mercy, to make the best of me middlin' years: Swabbin', carousin', breathin' in the salty air of the CyberSeas…

I just signed articles to join the group of Pyrates. I recently joined the group Free Men of the Sea after having several encounters with them as the first mate of the Contenental Sloop Providence (www.sloopprovidenceri.org). I will be at Pirates in Paradise in Key West since I have some training with Outward Bound immediately following that. I have been a proffessional Tall Ship Sailor since 1996. Recently I have been first mate on the Lady Washington (of Pirates of the Caribbean "Interceptor" fame) and The Sloop Providence (of Dead Man's chest fame). This winter I will be first mate on Tole Mour, which unfortunately does not engage in Pirate activities, but do…

It is a dark, gloomy night and the soft light of a distant lantern beckons me. As I approach the pub I hear the ribald voices of the pirates, privateers, rogues and slatternly wenches within. Entering the pub, my eyes dance around the room, surveying the patrons in order to determine if the husbands of my conquests are present. Deciding that I will not die tonight by the blade of a jealous husband, I approach the bar and shout out, “Tavernkeep, I have a bag full of gold and my throat is dry. Bring me rum and drinks for all!”

Ahoy there I've been recommended this site several times, and now I decided to sign up... I'm a 24 year old piratess, living in and roaming Denmark. I've loved pirates for years, so much that I even dress as much pirate as I can daily too. I love to be pirate, to watch pirate movies and to talk about pirates. And to participate in every pirate event I can :) in fact, I just returned today from a very good weekend together with 80 other crazy pirates, for some live RP, and it was really great. I might post my experiences, my story somewhere here, I had a cool character and her story turned out to be more interesting than I ever imagined. It's been the first time I pa…

Sorry about the crimson stains, but I didn't have time to change out of my work clothes. Looking at you all here seems like I might just fit in fine. I've been reading along and finally had the chance to log in. I understand I buy the first round. Oh, but I did wash my hands. And by the way, if there are any ships in port in need of a good limb detachment specialist, I can vouch for my own work.

Greet'ns! 'Tis me, ol' Culliford, the pirate that snuck away as Capt'n Kidd took the fall for all me crimes and plunderin'! No-one knew for sure where I went after his trial, but now I am back! Rob't is me name, but ye can call me Culli or Culliford. Just don't call me late to the pub! ------------------ Hello everyone! I've been lurking here for a while as I read up on lots of posts and learned a bit about the GAOP reenactors and the community. I was a history major in college (University of Houston for those interested) and have always been fascinated with sea stories and maritime history, including the history of piracy. I was a U.S. Marine for 12 years, eventuall…

Greetin's all. Just sailed in lookin for places to talk pyratey things. Capt Jack Daniels told me about this place. Bit of a background I attend/perform at various local faires. Both as a pirate and medieval/renassaince stuff. I have spent way to much money on this little hobby :) Currently I am about to finish a fun event here in Tulsa called HallowMarine. Put on by the local aquarium. They have set the whole place up as a dock/port area with a haunted sunken ship in the background. Pretty much your typical hollywood pirate type vein. Being pyratical and giving out treasure to small children. Great fun. um...lets see..that's about it... basically just a message to …

This is my first topic so I'm going to start with why I'm here. I am currently researching Madame Ching, whom I believe was an 18th century whore turned pirate. Can anyone suggest, recommend, point me to any resources on the orient in the mid to late 1800s? This would include any information on Ching, her husband, her crew, etc. I've chosen this as the inspiration for my 2006 Nano (National Novel Writing Month) piece and could use all the help I can get. *laughs* not exactly a newbie question is it? Nano starts November 1st and requires 50,000 words by the end of the month. Thanks for sparing me some time. Ebs
