been lurking about for abit , and have decided that instead of rum, everyone gets a round of tequila shooters and/or a vodka'ed-up fruit drink of their choice anyway, im rather a fan of pirates, always have been, and shows like POTC add to it, with characters like Sparrow and Barbossa, among others. also, im keen to try my hand at pirate reenacting, and i cant much think of a better place than Charleston, SC. The only thing i haven't decided on, is weather or not to go for all out fantasy (though not to the point of silliness and absurdity), or try to retain a level of realism and accuracy, and if so, how much? questions? comments? keelhaulings?

One of the guys that hangs around our shop and forges stuff just started collecting oldddd jewelry. He just picked up this awsome bronze skull ring found in the Bolcans. From all the other stuff it was found with is was dated from 400 AD to 700 AD. I am still trying to steal it from him. Can't find a better pirate ring if you ask me. Anyone else out there into old rings and such like this ? I am getting the bug real bad.

I'm leaving early Sunday morning, April 13, and heading east, by car. We are going first to Tombstone, Arizona, then onto Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, see sights along the way through Texas and into Louisiana for the Con. Afterwards we're heading for Amarillo, Texas where Boat's son lives, then through New Mexico, Santa Fe, Taos, up into Colorado, over to 4 Points, down through Arizona again, then up to Las Vegas and the Luxor (they made us a deal on a spa suite we couldn't pass up), then home on May 3. We have reservations at a dozen or so state campgrounds along the way; we sleep in the van. Though a couple of places we are hotel/motel-ing it due to no campgrounds…

It be a day early, but I'll be away from home port on her special day, so... Happy Birthday to the pirate of my heart. May you have calm seas, and great adventures to come. With rich rewards wherever you might "find" them.

A number of Rumors have come to our Attention regarding Pirates for Sail and the crew of the Drunken Ferret. As a Ship's Officer and Senior Crewmember, I would like to Respond to them for the Captain, Officers, and Crew as a whole to hopefully put an End to these Falsehoods. As we Understand it, the Several Tales spreading throughout the Pyrate, Reenactment, and Renfaire Communities are: • Pirates for Sail are Stealing Members from other Ships. • The Community of Pyrates are upset that Pirates for Sail obtained a Letter of Marque from the Maryland Renaissance Festival (MDRF) without being a SCA or Guilde ship. • A Member of Pirates for Sail got into a Fight at the Mar…

Well... I'd be after having all of you know that our Phoebe is living up to her full Pirate potential. Last night I had a small rite in my patio and… after have’n a wee nip of spiced rum, I poured the rest of into the deep pond and water fall to “honor” a few I was working for. I turned around to pick a few things up, turned back and there was Phoebe, lapp’n at that water like a marooned sailor dying of thirst. Okay, I laughed and said “What are you DOing!?” She picked up her head, looked at me a few seconds as if I had taken leave of my otherwise good senses and then went right back to drinking, Nice to know I’ve raised her right.

Ahoy! I was wondering if any of you artistic types might want to take a crack at this one. My SO, Captain J. A. Rhedd is looking for colors for his ship, the Devil's Chariot. I have seen many good designs come out of this board and was wondering if any of you are so inclined to help. Here's a picture of Rhedd and his old flag - done up at the last minute and not very good, and way too busy, but you get the idea (he's on the right). Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks!

It's not completely finished, the last camp out in the camp outs section is only half finished. I have to buy more space, and at the moment I'm kind of tight on cash, but it's an extensive website, and follows the Crew from its beginning four years ago, and follows it up until now. It really shows how the crew has grown, changed, and how the people in the crew have grown up. I started the Crew when I was 16. I'm almost 21 now. Let me know what you all think. The lay out is pretty easy, however it's not the most professional. It's been the same website since I started it 4 years ago, and I like keeping the control in my hands. www.angelfire.com/crazy/scavengercrew

Hey there, I haven't posted here in a while, but now I'm back. My Crew is now fully outfitted, and we did our first photoshoot in our new clothes a few weeks ago. I tried to stay as authentic as possible. Tell me what you think. My macaw (Calypso) and I. Edward Lafitte. Captain Stifler (That's me) and Alex Myers... ...still fighting. Edward and Casey. Alex and Amelia. Colton Caine. Newly elected Bosun Amelia Vane flogs Mr. Myers. Amelia , Alex, Jacob, and Jack, with Calypso preening herself. The Captain and Calypso.
