Capt. Sterling Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Sterling enters the pub and literally turns a blind eye on the new comer. Moving to the bar, he orders himself a drink and downs it. Finally turning to face Tess, he cannot help but look her up and down. "Welcome Lady," he says warily. "I've seen ye about Court, forgive me if I keep my guard up where ye be concerned." "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
Jacky Tar Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Aye, the humble Pyrate Blackfoot kneels before the new comer Miss. Tess St. Claire and bids her a warm welcome and how do ya do m'lady? Cheers! Jacky Tar, a not so humble pirate, knocks over the kneeling Blackfoot. "Sorry, Blackfoot let me help ye up lad. Didn't see ye on the floor. Ray we need more lanterns in here, I nearly stepped on Tenderfoot here." Jacky nods to the lady. "Welcome, Miss St. Claire is it? Charmed." Jacky takes his place at the bar.

Is this a standard custom for all the women here on the chat to be greeted in such a way? I mean, it isn't every day that I have men falling all over themselves for me

"I've seen ye about Court, forgive me if I keep my guard up where ye be concerned." I smile lightly. "Do I know you, Sir? Have we met?" (I'm sorry, but I'm new at this type of role-play {is that the right word for this?} So, please be patient with me.

Aurore Devareaux Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Stepping quietly within the shadowed rear entrance, Aurore surveys the Common room and those therin. Seeing who she seeks, gains Captain Sterling's side and watches the new arrival with veiled suspicion. "Bon soir, Mademoiselle...and welcome." Rateye Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Wandering in, in hopes of simply getting a drink and maybe a bite to eat, Reiley immediately noticed that there is already a situation building. He jestures for the darling little barmaid passing by to step aside in a false show of protecting her. "Don't worry darlin," Reiley assures her. "I'll be protecting ye, when the ruckus commences...... And while I 'ave yer attention my dear, did I mention I was a notable surgeon?" BTW: Welcome to the pub M-lady!

Jacky Tar Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Sterling backs away a bit. "Aye in passing..." In hushed tones and with his back to the crowd, Jacky addresses Captain Sterling. "Yer uneasy wit' the lady? Do ye have good reason sir?" Raising his voice and motioning to Ray for two glasses; Jacky produces a fine bottle of Spanish port. "Will ye join me in a drink Captain Sterling? I believe port is yer drink of choice. Jacky offers a glass of port to Captain Sterling and his shadow (Aurore), and motions to Ray for a third glass.

"Is she mine?" Sterling remarks. "More like if she be willing to have me says I." Still he places his arm protectively around Aurore's shoulders and hugs her close. "It would be some time back, Lady...with King William and his good Queen Mary." Where as a pyrate will take aim at ye where it best suits his needs, ladies of the Court aim directly at the heart of them that loves ye." Sterling nods his head to Jacky as he takes his glass of Port and touches the rim to Aurore's glass. "To long life....so's watch yer back!"
