Redd Oktober Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Allllright! Put on yer thinkin' caps...what would be the ultimate pirate ship name be? The winner here gets their ship's name plastered on the boat set at the Haunted Forest (By the by...we just finished her last night...she be HUGE!) YARRR! The Oktober be silent now! Just call me "REDD!"
El Pirata Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Satisfaction. Actually it was Henry Morgan's flagship when he sacked Panama in 1671. The ship never saw the riches of Panama as it was sunk after it hit a reef at the mouth of the Rio Chagres. Pushing the limits means getting out of my comfort zone and giving more when I don't think I have any left.
El Pirata Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 You could honor me and name it either El Pirata or Cool Beans. Maybe Pirata as one of my snakes is named as well as the plates on my Jeep. Pushing the limits means getting out of my comfort zone and giving more when I don't think I have any left.
Cap'n Coyote Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Th' Chumbucket Echoes the zombie aspect of undead pirates, but is kind of a funny word, to indicate that it's just for kicks. Or is that WAAYY too deep? Yarrr! Rumors of my death were right on the money.
El Pirata Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Maybe you could call it WANKER. Pushing the limits means getting out of my comfort zone and giving more when I don't think I have any left.

[Enter Pirate's Name Here]'s Revenge Chase Hall (That be terrifying to all CGA grads) Bancroft Hall (Same to all USNA grads-those whiners) I might have some later if I get my paper done. Coastie04  She was bigger and faster when under full sail With a gale on the beam and the seas o'er the rail

Coastie04 Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Ok, here's some more... For a three ship fleet: 'Bud', 'Wei', and 'Ser' The Great Royal Grand (no reason not to pump up your own reputation) Dead Man's Ship Mary Celeste (unsure of spelling) Friday's Whistling Pig (tempt the fates? never...) Floating Brothel Blazin' Cannons CIA Worst Nightmare Trafalgar's Ghost Belching Flame Swift Death Regulations (another name to scare the naval forces) Red Tape (to scare the lubbers) Elephant's Ass (for the politicians) Murdered Albatross Dog Pound Satan's Toy Boat That's all for tonight. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get any more than that, but stranger things have happened. Coastie04  She was bigger and faster when under full sail With a gale on the beam and the seas o'er the rail

captweaver65 Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 THE FRIGHTENING ROSE Capt Weaver "No man will be a sailor who has contrivance enough to get himself into a jail; for being in a ship is being in a jail, with the chance of being drowned. A man in jail has more room, better food, and commonly better company. " Dr. Samuel Johnson Capt Weaver's Pirate Perversions

Coastie04 Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 Heck with the fancy names, wasn't the schooner in Jack London's Sea Wolf called 'Ghost'? Other possible names I thought of during class: Minnow Shark Bite Stolen Merchant Panama's Flagship Morgan's Rum Barge Captain's Coffin Captain's Daughter 'till next time, Coastie04 She was bigger and faster when under full sail With a gale on the beam and the seas o'er the rail
Capt Grey Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 Aye, Cap'n Flint, MissFortune be a right bonny name. In one o'me fantasy novels (Demon in the Mirror), the ship of the lady pirate be named VIXEN. Captain, we always knew you were a whoopsie. Rumors of my death are entirely premature.
