Pirate Petee Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Blackbeard You won't want to miss this. this looks flippin badass.
Red Maria Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 (edited) Dave Moore mentioned this too. Interesting choice for Blackbeard in James Purfoy. He fits the description of Blackbeard more from the only eyewitness acount of BB being "tall and spar". Purfoy was great in Rome as Marc Anthony. I still remeber that scene of him in a courtyard butt naked and full frontal! Now there's a healthy lad :) Edited February 23, 2006 by Red Maria
Red Maria Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 I don't recall any boots. I guess I wan't looking at his feet.
JoshuaRed Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 I can't believe I'm so out of it that I totally missed this...thanks Petee! This looks..well, AMAZING! I am royally psyched for this puppy. I was a big fan of James Purefoy on Rome...I think he's looking like a terrific Blackbeard. Some costuming innaccuracy that kind of surprises me from National Geographic...but it's neither here nor there - this thing is gonna kickass.
Mad Matt Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Luckily, they have an email reminder 24 hours before the show. I'll probably miss it if they don't send me somethin'! I'm psyched and surely hope it is a good show. You will be flogged. And God willing, come morning, you will be flogged some more.
Mad Matt Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 I'm old school. VHS with a remote that won't work well enough to allow me to set the record timer. I have to stay up and hit the "Rec" button. Kinda like, back in the day, recording a radio show onto a cassette tape. Got lots of Wolfman Jack shows that way....but I digress. You will be flogged. And God willing, come morning, you will be flogged some more.
Capt. Lazarus Gage Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 WOW. Thats all that needs to be said.
JoshuaRed Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I am so psyched for this one. So psyched. I may have to mark the occasion with a bottle of 10 Cane.
Rumba Rue Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I hope someone is taping it, cuz I don't get the station. I'd like to see the tape.
The Doctor Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Rumba, if ye be needin' a DVD, PM me "yes" or "no". I'll be recording it no matter what. Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?
JoshuaRed Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Yeah those specials are always available on dvd as soon as the show airs.
Zorg Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 I don't recall any boots. I guess I wan't looking at his feet. Now, Maria, when was the last time ya looked at a man's FEET? Drop a kitten six feet, and she grins... Drop an elephant six feet, and ya gots yerself a mess ta clean up.... Sometimes bein' the biggest and most powerful is the LAST thing you wanna be..... Mad Ozymandias Zorg the Unsnottered
Red Maria Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Can't remember , can't remember..... Men have feet?!
Patrick Hand Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Men have feet? Yah... right below that other leather covered......... aaaaaaah.... pg 13 right...... OK nevermind
Capt. Lazarus Gage Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I recieved a faulty email from National Geographic this morning. I signed up for the reminder email and it sent it today saying it would be on tommorow the 8th. Just a warning, that is not the correct time if you get this email, it is still Sunday the 12th at 8ET.
Captain Sage Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Lads and lasses, this is required watchin' material. I have a letter from the king of pirates 'isself that says, "thems wot miss this flick will suffer the humdai..." What?! That's the wrong genre. Who wrote this crap? Seriously, mates, catch this if you can. Woo-Hoo!!! Captain Sage Visit The Pirate's Realm and Blackbeard's Realm
JoshuaRed Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Out yer tompions, prime yer tivos and vcrs....woohoo!!
capnwilliam Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 We don't get the National Geographic channel. I wonder if they will sell it on video / DVD? Capt. William "The fight's not over while there's a shot in the locker!"
