blackjohn Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I don't really follow the PotC threads, but in case no one has mentioned it, the PotC 2006 calendar is out. Looks pretty cool. I might buy one, unless I can find a good tall ships calendar. My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.
hurricane Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 That would be cool, but my money is on Don Maitz's 2006 Pirate Calendar. http://home.paravia.com/DonMaitz/Version2/...06Calendar.html For those who don't know Don his artwork is amazing and if you drink Captain Morgan's Rum, you see his work on every label. -- Hurricane -- Hurricane ______________________________________________________________________ http://piratesofthecoast.com/images/pyracy-logo1.jpg Captain of The Pyrates of the Coast Author of "Memoirs of a Buccaneer: 30 Year Before the Mast" (Published in Fall 2011) Scurrilous Rogue Stirrer of Pots Fomenter of Mutiny Bon Vivant & Roustabout Part-time Carnival Barker Certified Ex-Wife Collector Experienced Drinking Companion "I was screwed. callenish gunner Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 i wouldn't mind a calender with 12 months of christine on it
Christine Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Oh, goodness-lol! I'm sure quite a few of the men here would agree with ya-lol!
callenish gunner Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 christine lass you have posted a few pics i have enjoyed quite a lot ....you're a bonney lass with a fine figure any anytime you'd like to model for me i'd be honoured
Christine Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 With as many pix I've posted I actually could make up a 12 month calendar. I'm sure there's been more than 12 pix of me put up on this pub.
Christine Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 BTW, I saw the POTC calendar at the mall yesterday and nope, I won't be buying that one. It's only of Jack and Wil, with only one pic of Elizabeth. No pic of Barbossa at all. I did tho buy this really cool hoodie at Disneyland last night at the Pieces of Eight store. On the front it has skull and crossbones, it says, "Dead men tell no tales". On the back it has that really cool image of the skeleton at the helm in rainy weather and it says, "Pirates of the Caribbean."
Iron Bess Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Oooooooooo!! I have that one!! Well, you may not realize it but your looking at the remains of what was once a very handsome woman!
Christine Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Yeah, ain't it great! I saw that and was like, "Ooooo.....I gotta have that!"
The Doctor Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 With as many pix I've posted I actually could make up a 12 month calendar. I'm sure there's been more than 12 pix of me put up on this pub. A Christine pin-up calendar? Ooooooo -- I gotta have that! :) Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?
DurtyLillie Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Yep, best regards to the beautiful Christine.... but my money went to Don M.'s calendar as Capt Hurrican said...... Pyracy in all it's Glory, Yers, D.L. aka DurtyLaFey member of a few crewes....but that be a personal question.
callenish gunner Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 well there be a sight for sore eyes lillie!!! how are you lass ,,,thought you might have fallen in some spanish dungeon
Red Bess Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 BTW, I saw the POTC calendar at the mall yesterday and nope, I won't be buying that one. It's only of Jack and Wil, with only one pic of Elizabeth. No pic of Barbossa at all.  True, no Barbossa. But there's nothing wrong with pictures of Will and Jack I did pick up the POTC calendar at the mall last week, but I'll be sending away for Don Maitz's calendar, too, now that I've seen it. Universe Publishing put out a nice Pirate calendar in 2002 (paintings by Howard Pyle, Oliver Frey and several others). However, it appears that was the only year. I've still seen it for sale in a couple places on the Internet -- it's worth it just for the pictures. Ladies in Scarlet: Piratical Art and Accessories
Christine Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 No, there's nothing wrong with Jack and Wil, but they need to realize that there are Barbossa fans as well. I made my own hoodie with pirate patches from Hot Topic. It just has the skull and crossbones from the movie logo and the Pirates of the Caribbean lettering. I didn't want to get the shirts they sell there, it's only of Jack and or Wil.
Sheila Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I love Don's stuff, can't wait to see him and have him autograph it for me!! Sheila forever! Green, it's not a color, it'a obsession!!!
hurricane Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I'm sure he'll be happy to, daughter mine. He wants to work with us on some Tampa fundraisers in the future. I can't wait to get the calendar. I see some very familiar faces in it. Black Hearted Pearl Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I still say a "Men in tall boots with swords" calendar be the top of my list. ~Black Hearted Pearl The optimist expects the wind. The pessimist complains about the wind. The realist adjusts the sails.
Jack2 Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Ol'e Jack are a lucky lad, is he. All them pretty ladies a look'in at his picture every month! Jack II
