Black Hearted Pearl Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Toys-R-Us is being sold to the highest bidder, so the company is going through some shake-up. Reuter's News Article 10/22/04 Also, the Jack Sparrow doll is considered a collectible and not a "toy" per se. So I would look in local stores that carry collectibles rather than toys. ~Black Hearted Pearl The optimist expects the wind. The pessimist complains about the wind. The realist adjusts the sails.
Rumba Rue Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 Well I ordered my doll today from Amazon. Shipping states it will happen on Nov. 8, and I should recieve it on the 12th. I can tell you with tax, shipping and all that stuff it came to $48.41. I ordered the smiling Jack, ah me new bed buddy....LOL! NOT! Rumba Rue ** **
Capt Grey Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 Lady B, check your local Suncoast Video store. They usually carry these kinds of things. I've been buying off the internet for 5 years; when dealing with reputable stores I have never, ever had any problems. And for all my years on e-Bay I've only had 1 seller never deliver after I paid (over 300 transactions). Captain, we always knew you were a whoopsie. Rumors of my death are entirely premature.
