MarkG
A big thanks to everyone who came. The event was a big success - both for the participants and for the ship. Box office was around $1,150 which will probably be the biggest weekend of the year. Mark
michaelsbagley
Another auction update.... HistoryFanatic added some auction items through the Santa Maria's MissionFish page on eBay. Most of the items were posted on the non MissionFish page as MissionFish, despite it's good intentions and ease of use add significant charges so less of the raised money gets to the Santa Maria Columbus Ohio (HistoryFanatic was unaware of this when he posted those). According to another source, the above mentioned ticket take (posted by Mark G) for the pirate weekend exceeded last May's by a decent margin. So this event is growing and having a wonderful and positive effect on the ship. A huge thanks to all who attended, and all the well wishers from a far, and a double thanks to those who donated items for the auctions! If it wasn't for everyone involved whether present or from far away, this event wouldn't and couldn't be the success it is! There is still 5 to 8 days left on all the auction items, please bid if you see something that interests you, and also please pass the links on to anyone and everyone you think may be interested, it is for a great cause, and a piece of history and historic landmark that is still in need of our help and support! Cheers!

MarkG
Did anyone end up with an extra haversack - one in black oilcloth containing a leather wallet with a couple of pairs of period glasses? I can't find mine. Mark
