Iron Bess Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I do apologize dear Bess, but you did make me laugh. I hope you weren't on hold too long. Ooh and Red-Handed Jill is right....the Muzak version would have been very sad indeed. Hideous in ALL It's forms. I started at Disneyland back in 1970.... and had to work that ride from time to time. We all sat in the loading / control lofts and would fantasize every 15 min (when those little flukkers come around on the clock) about hauling out a sawed off and blowing them to pieces..... Ahh, the good old days! Well, you may not realize it but your looking at the remains of what was once a very handsome woman!

Cpt Sophia M Eisley Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 The woosh of the air conditioner. I preferred a bit of quiet after a rather hectic day at work (with many a resonant coworker). Might catch up on a little light Classical later on though to prepare for sleep. Perhaps we'll meet again under better circumstances. ---(---(@ Dead Men...Tell No Tales. Welcome, Foolish Mortals...

Lily Alexander Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 The sound of my poor sick dog wheezing and coughing. If you're gonna give me a headache, please bring me an aspirin! http://www.forttaylorpyrates.com/
Red Cat Jenny Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Red Cat gives a thumbs up to Matusalem Aye! Aww Lilly....my heart is breaking. I will say a prayer for your wee one. What did your vet say? Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice! My inner voice sometimes has an accent! My wont? Lily Alexander Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Thank you Jenny. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. The vet made her stay for a few hours so she could do some type of proceedure to take a tissue sample of her lungs. We won't know for sure until the results come back on Monday. We're still hoping for pneumonia. It's either that or the big "C". I'm just glad she is home. In the meantime, I'm camping out on the air mattress in the livingroom so she's not alone and I can be near in case something happens. If you're gonna give me a headache, please bring me an aspirin! http://www.forttaylorpyrates.com/
Red Cat Jenny Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Lily, you are welcome. I will hope along with you. You are so sweet to keep her company. The hardest part in these things is not being able to communicate fully. But I'm sure you're making her feel batter being there. Support goes a long way. I shall again ask St. Jude to help. BriarRose Kildare Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Oh, Lily, I hope it is only pneumonia. I am so sorry for your sadness and distress. I will say another prayer to St. Francis for you. He is the patron saint of animals. And I have often prayed to him before. And I will lite a candle today for both of you. And the best thing you can do right now is doing what you are doing, just being with her. I have had to do that myself several times and I know how difficult it can be. If you need to talk I am hear for you. Consider your self Hugged. Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.
