Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
It was either count Skittles or M&M's or something of the kind, or come up with something on your own, sooo... I need to do a statistics project for my Math class and decided that I would do something nobody else was likely to. I'm trying to get 50 responses to the following question: How many events do you attend in an average year? (Don't need any details, just a number.) Thanks in advance! Mission
Those pesky statistics projects! I did one on the pub about two years ago. My first question is almost the same as yours and may actually be of use to you, especially for members who are no longer around. I posted it in two places on the forum: https://pyracy.com/index.php?showtopic=10210 https://pyracy.com/index.php?showtopic=10209 I'm attending 3 events this year. Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."
Red-Handed Jill
I used to do more but since I've been doing longer sailing trips (and needing to accumulate more vacation days to do them) I've cut my events back to four a year. Wow - there seems to be a significant difference between those of us who do few events and folks who do a lot. 37 events??

Ransom
I live in a pyrate no-man's land, so for me, it's only 2 — Nor Cal and Ojai. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... Silkie McDonough
Bo, I thought you wanted just pirate events. If you want all events then I have one or two more. A F&I event at Fort Ticonderoga NY and a day at the Franklin Institute (science center) changing of the "guard" from Star Wars to Pirate ...but the day was short and it was spent on Star Wars not Pyrates. LadyBarbossa
3 events on average. 5 if I'm lucky. ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" Merrydeath
It depends on what you mean by event. I went to 8 faires/fests as a pirate. If you count parties/ events then more. Dorian Lasseter
I might be a bad mix in this.... 20 years reenacting in some form or another First 10 years, I averaged 10 - 12 events per year. These last 10, I averaged half as much. Truly, D. Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
Thank you all! I have my 50 entries between the three forums I posted on. I can now get to the project and have plenty of time. I'll post my grade so you can see how it comes out. Bo
