Black Anne Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Nice hat! How do you make them? Black Anne Roberts From the great white north..looking for warmer climes
blackbeard_nc Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 I got tired of not finding the colors or style of wool felt I wanted for hats so I made my own wood hat block and started shaping my own blanks. It was a long process with quite a few mistakes along the way but I finally got them to come out the way I wanted. The felt is about $12 - 22 a yard depending on color and the supplier, the total cost to build the hat block was about $50. I haven't made enough for resale yet, but working on it.
