Matty Bottles
Perhaps a rename to the "Harry S."? Heck, why not call it the True Men (Truman) in an oblique reference to the donor Harry S? "The time was when ships passing one another at sea backed their topsails and had a 'gam,' and on parting fired guns; but those good old days have gone. People have hardly time nowadays to speak even on the broad ocean, where news is news, and as for a salute of guns, they cannot afford the powder. There are no poetry-enshrined freighters on the sea now; it is a prosy life when we have no time to bid one another good morning." - Capt. Joshua Slocum
William Brand
Since the fort is just beyond the Truman Annex, this wouldn't be a bad name.
BriarRose Kildare
Umm, gentlemen, it is not a matter of stealing, but commadeering. If you wish, I could go down there and perhaps persuade the owner with my big blue-green eyes. Lily Alexander
Can I offer a suggestion BriarRose? While one red-head on her own is pretty tough to resist, I think between the two of us we could take possession of that boat before they even knew what hit em' If you're gonna give me a headache, please bring me an aspirin! http://www.forttaylorpyrates.com/

Lily Alexander
You've got a deal BriarRose. I'm game for a good adventure. William, please define "almost". BriarRose Kildare
Dear Captain Sterling....if the price is right then I would be one or the other. And I might add, that given me mood, I will do almost about anything on a dare. But one thing for certain regardless of coin, I am loyal to those who are dear to me. And my word is my bond. But if ye be wanting that ship then I am game to commandeer it by any means given the opportunity. And me thinks with Lily and I, we could claim it with little effort.... Jack Roberts
Well, well, if the ladies can pull off another boat that would be a good bit of "piratin". But back to the topic, what colors might we be wantin' the boat, we do have, to be? Not being a carpenter myself, how would one go about filling in the gap in the back? Then how would one place the oar locks? If I did get the chance to go down there for a weekend to paint her, would I need all that finished before hand? Would we have to strip down the old paint or just cover over the old paint? Oh and what kind of paint do you use for a boat like this?
William Brand
No, no. That's just fine if the ladies get another boat. I want them to get another boat. I want them to get 12 more boats, including a really big one with a gun deck, but we're talking about the needs of this particular boat at the moment. This is just an effort to keep the thread less convoluted. So, for the record, anyone wishing to commandeer more boats, you are highly encouraged to do so. Go forth and conquer.
