  1. umm cafe press could do any of these cheap. and this website already has a cafe press account. why not just ask them to set something up. im sure if they hadf a largeenough demand they would do it in a heartbeat
  2. awww womens hoodies but no mens? i would really have liked a captian hoodie
  3. actually thier prices havent dropped much at all in the last 5 years since i saw the mens trench here in vegas. two places sell it. but the only person ive seen wear it outside of the store was lawerance fishbourne in "Biker Boys"
  4. i just picked one up at an event every time ive needed aheadscarf (loose em alot) just about every "gypsy/bellydancer" shop sell sashes. find a one that breathes and is a bit stretchy (helps keep in on your head)
  5. More bags have been added. 2 in black and many natural tanned buffalo pouches which has a nice texture, very supple yet strong. If you like the look and texture of the buffalo let us know, were looking into an order of black buffalo. yea we do baldrics but to give you a proper pricing we need to know some more info. with of leather (measure inside buckle) length from where you want it to hit on your side over other shouler and back to same point. what you want to mount to it (may take a frog or hanger or holster) color wanted if its a sword baldric we'd need the sword, sheath and buckle to make a proper hanger & baldric for it. same for a blunderbus. If you have a hanger for it already we only need the hanger & buckle. if you want it tooled it will cost more and take longer but can be done. tooling can be painted aswell.
  6. actually hes probably coming over today ill have him bring it and take a pic also some of you might remember my travel pack from this thread http://pyracy.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4862&hl=
  7. Ok ive heard alot of you in the past asking about custom leatherwork. My father and I have been doing it for years at renfaires, SCA events, and the like. We do every thing from belt pouches to belts to baldrics, purses, backpacks, sheaths, scabards, quivvers, holsters, etc. (hell we made a baldric & holster for my buddies blunderbuss just so he didnt have to carry it while shopping). we can also do custom tooling depending on the design. In the SCA in the kingdom of Caid, Leather by longshore used to be a well known place to get custom work. we stand by our work 100% for life (besides normal wear and tear of course). all of our work is done by my father or myself by hand (no machine stitching). so finally I decided that it was time we started it back up and broadened our customer base. So we now have an ebay store for your browsing convience. but if you cant find something you like on our site or would like detailed custom work feel free to let us know. Leather By Longshore it will be abit for us to build stock onlibne but there is a handfull of our normal pouches on currently. more pouches will be added tonight, aswell as more items to come.
  8. thank you thats what i figured. and im sure itll probly be recycled into narnia. nopoint in making new background coins when you already have tons from potc if i get any more ill just put em on ebay and say jonny touched em and sell em for 100 a piece nah ill probly make a chain for this now that i know what it is
  9. ok so my girlfriend lives in l.a. for a production company. whilemaking a set for the opening of herbie she had multiple times in the disney warehouse to get refrence to the real herbie for the movie. and was recently working on a fo section of one of the ships for potc2. (yes im jealous too) she was walking in between the Narnia (lion witch and wardrobe) stuff. and the potc 1 stuff. (jealous again) and came across a chest of coins. she got permission to take one for me and one for my father. but we dont know if there for potc or for narnia which isnt out yet. the chest was sitting right between the 2 sections (possibly recyling coins from potc to narnia) unfortunatly thier not the spanish gold(which she did one but wasnt aloowed to grab ) well here it is mabey one of you can make heads or tails of it
  10. if someone here doesnt im sure thiers a blacksmiths forum somewhere online
  11. if you scroll down far enough theres some called newspaper that are acutall clippings from the 17&1800s of piratical events. rather amusing actually
  12. heh now all i need is a giant fish bowl
  13. :) to hell with a house all i need is one of them and a cleverly disguised garage
  14. I can do them custom for forum members along with about any other leatherwork anyone needs. but as far as a booth itll be a bit since I have to deal with moving back to southern cali first Ive finaly gotten sick of vegas. ::crosses fingers:: within the next 4 months
  15. well i got sick of taking trips to the car to drop off trinkets at events. so between me and my father. (leather by longshore) we made a "adventuring pack" this is my prototype made over a boot sized shoe box. its red latigo so i wasnt able to do any tooling (too soft) I carried ita so cal ren faire las weekend and was bombarded by people wanting to know what booth to get it at :). i will be working on other designs. including an oval sided one for rigidity.
  16. Ill be getting better pics this weekend at souther cali faire. anyone going to be there? Id like to meet some of the pub members finaly.
  17. I'm going to be there this weekend (14&15 of may) wondering if any of my fellow pub members will be there? If so look for me in my new rust n black coat, tricorn etc. pm or reply if youll be there i wanna finaly put some faces to the names.
  18. those seem a bit smaller than theones ive seen kept as museum pieces. the ones ive seen were much thicker (closer to the size of a billy club). those look really thin and mor akin to todays pins for smaller ships
  19. never been one for the fancy dan feather look. the picture dosent really do it justice. i added gussets (think thats the right term) to the bottom for a fuller bottom so it moves right in the wind. ill make sure to get pics of the trim aswell. the flat braid for the button trim was hell because i turned it back alonside itself and hand stitched the sides together. and the cuff and opening trim is the rope trim usually used on apolstery but it was the look I was going for. and large cuffs were very popular at the time. check potc and look at Governor Swann's coat he has very large cuffs aswell. I modofied them from the patern aswell to get a more acurate look
  20. sorry i should add that its a very heavy corderoy (kings cloth i know) anyway ill take more pics later this week.
  21. I just realized i never posted my coat Ive been away form the forums of late. remember i hadnt added the buttons when this was taken I ran out of time.
  22. me and my father have been doing custom leatherwork for years.. my father used to work ouf of schroders arms at southern cali faire. not to mention doing sca events since i was born. if you run in the older cali sca/ faire groups anyone can tell you that "leather by longshore" stands behind thier work. and it we have a lifetime warrenty against it falling apart. if thiers a problem in the stitches or leather (aside from abuse) we will either repair or replace it. if you have a picture of the dagger i could be of more help because i could tell you hoe long it would take (curved daggers and odd shaped guards are hareder to design) we wold need the dagger here todo the work because we dont do generic sheaths. they are wet formed to that dagger/sword, which helps keep them in the sheath when running without stupid hold downs or ties. we can do just about any tooling and designs you want on it aswell. but that gets pricey because its all hand work (heat press's are no-no's) now dont get me wrong we are very reasonable especially for custom work. example: a typical double edged dagger with a 10 inch blade in black, brown, green or any earth tone color with say a celtic knot (stamped not hand) at the top band with a belt loop or holder for a baldric. id say 25- 35 dollars (depending on blade width) +shipping to return it to you we also do custom bags, belts, baldrics, sheaths, scabbards, adveturing packs (pics up soon), map cases, messenger bags, provision bags, tankard straps, sword frogs, ahnd about anthing else that you can think of aside from boots (were not cobblers ) misery a.k.a. douglas of longshore
  23. hmmmm wonder if i could make a queen size one
