  1. *grumbles...* That's the problem with being a military guy... chicks dig long hair and beards... Not that its been that big of a problem in the past, but still...
  2. In garb? Of course! The locals absolutely love it... they are still pirates at heart down there, and they are amazingly friendly...
  3. As long as you put up plenty of your poetry, all is well!
  4. I've had more luck aging maps by wiping coffee and tea on the paper with a rag than by actually "bathing" the paper... I've tried that and have always had the paper tear, especially on a large piece... just my two doubloons' worth!
  5. Here's an old Marine Corps recipe... the first "recruits" would get "all they could drink" and awaken the next morning on a ship, musket in hand, with a hearty, "Welcome to the Marines!" Tun Tavern Cider- Put 10 cinnamon sticks, a tablespoon of allspice, and six cloves into a piece of cheesecloth, tie it up tight, and drop it into a pot of simmering apple cider (about a gallon)... let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. Ladle cider into a mug, drop in a shot of Caribbean rum (spiced Captain Morgan works well), throw a slice of orange on top, and sprinkle on some nutmeg... Great for taking the chill off after shoveling snow!
  6. Of course! Sun, sea, and heart band of py-rats! Lookin' forward to it!
  7. And Jamaica Air is absolutely fantastic! Every flight is a champagne flight, and they still serve a tasty meal!
  8. Gotta go with either an African Grey Parrot, or a Siamese cat... grew up with both... awesome animals, unbelievably smart...
  9. I try not to drink much anymore, but when I drink beer, I get happy and loud, and when I drink hard liquor I get quiet and mean...
  10. "PitBull"... when I was a baby Marine, my platoon Sgt called me that and the name stuck... I'm a little guy, but I can be mean when I have to be...
  11. Oh yeah... cold and snowy! Very un-pirate-like...
  12. Dressin' like that, you'll have enough hot blooded lads to keep you warm, even if you were in yer "unmentionables" in Alaska, in January! :)
  13. You know I'm in, Cap'n... for those wondering, Port Royal is fantastic... absolutely fantastic... the entire town oozes pirate-ness, and there is history EVERYWHERE! Well worth the money... I'm thinking April sounds good... mebbe March?
  14. Smokin' hot! (how appropriate that this follows a post by Christine )
  15. Cheers, Matt... the dreams don't ever really end, ya just gotta find your own way of dealing with 'em... to all here who've served, and are still serving, I raise a glass to ya, one and all.
  16. Aye, aye... tis true, laddie! Ye know why pipers march, don'cha? They're tryin' ta get away from the sound! (sorry, old piper's joke...)
  17. Amen! I've had both, and bad haggis is repellant! However, my grandma (born just outside Edinburgh) makes one every Christmas... not bad, not bad!
