  1. I was hoping to find some pirates interested in doing some special events in and around the Lowcountry. I currently work at a company on Hilton Head Island that creates these parties. Anyway I live and breath the pirate folklore, and I'm always looking for friends to join me on roadtrips to pirate fests. It's sad to see that this area, so rich in pirate history, has almost forgotten it's maritime history. Long live the legends of the sea!
  2. Hello Lady Elaina, Now that I have the bug ( a pirate bug that is) I am going to Tampa for that event. I visited Tampa last July and learned of the Gaspar legend. Where do most of the events take place, Ebor City or on the waterfront? Another fun fest is ithe Morehead City, NC Blackbeard Fest. I went this past year and had a blast. It was more kid oriented, not like the PIP fest. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED PIP!!!!!!, but I also enjoyed enriching young chidrens' perceptions of pirates in NC. I hope to see you down in Tampa! P.S. Where's Treasure Island?
  3. Congrats Rogue's Pierre!!!! Welcome aboard!!! Huzzah! or as us folks in the South say; YYYYYYEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAH! Would ye' be attending the Georgia Renfest next year?
  4. Just got back from a trip to Charleston, SC where I dicovered, hands down, the greatest pirate themed restaruant ever. It's located on Daniel's Island, about 7 miles from dowtown Charleston. It has well over 100 arifacts displayed from bow to stern, and they're REAL!!!! They represent the Golden Age of Piracy, late 1600's to the early 1700's. the food's great, but I was more interested in checking out the decor. You can check their website out at www.qarevenge.com for a tour of their establishment. This pirate gives them an enthusiastic two cutlasses up!
  5. I would like to thank everyone from A Faire of the Rose. I purchased some quality pirate garb from these guys and gals during Pirates in Paradise. I highly recommend their products for use in period costumes. Did I mention they're really nice too?! :)
  6. Nigel!!! How are you mate? I heard your sail through the friendly skies wasn't so friendly. I am glad that you got to port safe and sound. Might you and the gang be available for a cruise to Hilton head possibly around March? Olaf and I have considerd building a float in the Savannah St. Patty's day parade. Of course it will be a large galleon , the King's finest. Anyone interested in swinging off the yard arms during the parade are more than welcome. Me hopes to be stumblin' trew the streets wit me mate soon!
