  1. Ye be right on the money lad! But it is a polyfiber blend and rough to the tuch but not to rough as Captain Wolfy Wench said. Also the same stuff they used on Will's waste coat just flipped to use the dashes and not the dots.
  2. Awww, that just warms me heart =) Sorry I didnt see this before now. Thanks everyone =)
  3. Wait....what are you doing with that sword??!!? no .... No .....nO!!! Ackkkk!!!!! Good job on the coat mate......*last breath*
  4. Yeah, wish they didnt do that. I live close by them and they nothing but junk in the way of good blades.
  5. LOL I was off by one! Im use to props only making 5 of somthing. Did one get lifted from the display at Disney land? I have seen some pics with it and others without.
  6. I have found some via dealers that are in the $900 range in the style I want. I havent seen the repros make this style yet and also be Silver mounted. I never every let anyone pull my blade unless it's a fellow actor. I have had people try to pull it but I'm faster then they are. That really scares me that someone who even think to pull someones blade but it does happen.
  7. Ok lets put it like this. How many musket balls are found in Ga., alone in other Southern states? A lot. Are they Historic, you bet. I have seen some guns never used or taken out of their dueling box. Are they old yep, part of History? I wouldnt think so, they sat in a box for 300 years. Mite as well have been a rock collection or a silverware set collecting dust in some glass case. My mother was an Antique collector, and her house itself was Antique (Antebellum 1853). Part of History? You bet! (to many storys to list) Is it being used as a home? Damn tooten!! As well as the Antiques beds and everything else in the home. I use to ask my mother this question -"So that table was made in 1861?"... "Yes".."What about the tree it was made from, wasnt it older?".."Yes".."Wouldnt the tree be the Antique?"... =)
  8. Na, they had five hats made one was sold on ebay to a man in Ohio. The other 4 are prob in Disneys keepings.
  9. The real prop was leather made by Ditta Pieroni Bruno, Rome
  10. It has a dome crown. Judy is working on one for me. They will be a bit more money, she had to buy a metal steamer for the leather to work right.
  11. I do understand everyone’s concern with old flicntlocks,BP etc.. But given the price of new BP flintlocks are the same or more then antique ones. The new ones that are in good price range are not very good looking. I guess this would be like a toy collector who won’t open the box so not to kill value, the lost of value does not bother me for the sole reason I got it is to holdit, not for it to never see the light of day again. I use a good repo at shows it looks real and haven’t had a problem so far as law etc. in NC, GA.
  12. Oh I understand completly Hawkyns, I would only uses ah antique for carrying never for firing, I like my fingers where they are As for new, I did find a place out of Canada that made some nice looking Heavy Dragoons but they where not silver mounted =p
  13. But the new ones still are missing that something....ah nice old flintlock has that yummy used look
  14. Does anyone here carry a real Flintlock? I am just ichen to buy one =) Most run about $1,000 and up for a real 1700's one. ahh slave to fashion.
  15. This in from one of the Sparrow's cast crew. "Tearlach here with some exciting news for those of you local to Southern California. The Lady Washington, the ship that portrayed the Interceptor in "Pirates", has returned to Southern California along with the Hawaiian Chieftain for her annual West Coast tour. She just arrived in Long Beach today (Tuesday the 30th) and will be here through January 11th. She then sails to San Diego and will be there from the 14th through the 25th before she heads back north again stopping in at Newport Beach (January 27th - February 2nd), Marina Del Rey (February 4th - 8th), then on to Ventura (February 17th - 22nd) and on up to Morro Bay, San Francisco, Oakland, Redwood City, Eureka, Coos Bay, Oregon, and finally Aberdeen, Washington. The good news is that you can take dockside tours or, if your budget stretches, you can buy passage aboard her for one of the exciting battle cruises where we go out for three hours and fire the cannons at each other. Blanks only for now, but maybe someday... I, personally, will try to be there for the battle sails so I hope to see some you down there. For more reservations and information call (800) 200-LADY. Fair winds and following seas, Tearlach"
  16. Where have I seen this face before....hmmm... I know who ye be
  17. Aye it be me Sorry fur making ya jump. You talked about this pub on me own port fig I would try the ale here I have told Barbossa of this here pub, his a bisy man so dont be knowing when this place would see the likes of him.
  18. Aye, LadyBarbossa. We have found the blade from Luke who posted to my site. I sent him some hilt photos of the prop movie sword and they are a mach. The sword only costed $100 I think the only thing would be to change out the spring steel blade to a more fight worthy one. The real blade above I have seen before but $1800 is a bit much for right now. I am still hunting down real flintlocks that mach. I know the kind that Barbossa and Jack have. Barbossa's I have found ones that would work well as finging a 100% maching one would be next to never as most flintlocks styles vary with the taste if the buyer when they were made. Jack's wll be easyer as it was a common English Flintlock, in fact I have found some but their pricy!
