  1. No problem Don! Glad I could help, I have one hell of an eye I saw the Siler locks but as you said, the pan was German and not rounded and to save myself some time I used the Becky lock. Question I have is the gun Bill made and the real Perry, how far off do they differ? The Master Replica one has some pretty stand out diffrences.
  2. Sure, Barrel was made by a friend of mine who makes cannons. It was rolled out of steal with a thick breach to be safe. Cost was about $20 in steal and only a few hours of work. The dimensions where taken right off the MR replica gun. The stock was a small Dragoon stock of English Walnut that I had to mod into the right shape. I had the lock and barrel inlet left undone so I could do them. Stock cost: $45 I used a Becky Lock by Davis given the right size of the base plate 4 3/8 off the MR gun. Lock cost : $125 Trigger and trigger guard $22 All other parts like the mask buttcap etc I pulled cast off the MR gun.
  3. After looking at Don's kits, the stock look abit off. The curve of the grip isnt as long gated as the real Perry. Being I have carved my own I know . Also, the buttcap, breach tang, thumb inlay missing. Not trying to be a gul but the pics of the completed gun show a diffrent cemitry.
  4. LOL I remember talking to Mike Lea two years ago, good to see he selling them kits now. I couldnt wait and made my own firing Sparrow flintlock, Only cost $220 to make. I am still working on the ramrod and thimbles being placed.
  5. Had to chim in to this one. I am working on a firing CJS flintlock. I dropped the $200 and got the MR one and yes it came off the cast of the real Perry, London 1760 flintlock. I have also emailed the gun makers who copied the real one so not to fire it for the movies, Mike Lea was one of makers who replicated the working one for the movie. Sad to say the other gentalman past away two weeks ago, his widow has all the mesherments and what not for duplicating the gun. Mike isnt going to pester her in her time of loss right now. So that is kinda a dead end for right now. He can make one for you but look at very very high price. (the price always goes up when a crafter makes something for a movie). Disney paid $6500+ for two flintlocks made by them. But anywho, I have a friend who turns cannon barrels and is turning a flintlock barrel for mine and I have the stock template ready for the English Walnut it is made from. If the over all cost isnt to bad at the end of the project we may sell a small run of them.
  6. Here's one of me as Capt’n Edmond DeRanged http://www.captnjacksparrow.com/CRF2005/pa...kyandme_jpg.htm Here are some costumes I did for me and my ex, I was Kai from LEXX. Some Musketeer shots when I played D'art.
  7. I talked with the guy from Sword In The Stone 3 years ago but his prices where not that great for what you get sword wise. Give me a Del Tin any day. A little triva What movie was Jack's Baldric buckle used in before POTC? A hint; He was a former Pirate and later worked for a King.
  8. I stand corrected. Wow, someone really should stop him. I think we should send an army of Jack Sparrow clones after him... Let me at him!!!!
  9. You know I think about this more and more. I wish I could change my forum name? Can i? I came up with my own pirate prosona and my own costume because people only see you as one thing being Jack. I have been doing Sparrow for 3 years now and its time to move to something more self done and not ride the wave someone already made. I leard this over this year when I wanted to play music with my fellow ren-peeps but nobody would ask me to join in as they only knew me as Sparrow. Its nerve racking.
  10. Here be mine, maybe a bit vain but I enjoy jamming with my gypsy girl =) Sorry for the long pic, Im running a 30" lcd.
  11. I fenced for two years in college and some on stage. I miss it. I still have my gear to boot just collecting dust =p
  12. Ha! They still have my pics on the front page.
  13. Ey the one selling it is the pirate. I have seen that chest on ebay months ago.
  14. I stand corrected. Wow, someone really should stop him. I think we should send an army of Jack Sparrow clones after him... Clone 001 reporting for duty!
  15. Looking for a good supplyer of buckles, anyone got some links?
  16. Here's a site map of the QAR. http://www.qaronline.org/archaeology/QARSiteMap1.pdf The ship went down like a paper boat in the waves. She was stuck on a snadbar and left for the sea to take her.
  17. I get the feeling you think the ship is still in one pice? Most of it has rotted away.
  18. I remember this guy when he was selling a "Barbossa prop hat". I emailed him to see if there was anything in the brim. He said no. I knew right then it was a fake. Ditta Paroni, Italy tag should have been in there along with the actors name.
  19. Hell if I know, he must be busy or something. Havent seen him in a week.
  20. You ladies still looking at his pistol?
  21. I hates to perhaps burst yer bubble, but any maker worth his salt would charge upwards of $1000 to build a hand made piece like the one you want. You may want to approach some custom gunmakers with the proposal, backed up with cash. Perhaps you can find someone to modify an existing production weapon for your purposes..... >>>>>> Cascabel That's the problem with the US, I get costum stuff made over in Itali and is always cheaper. Tells you something. Why is it like this?
  22. I will get working on one! Just been bisy job hunting!!
