There was a fair representation of small arms on the field and on the boats. That said, it is the parks palyground and we must abide by their rules and regulatons. I joined a group of buccaneers on FB. There folks are doing serious research into the early buccaneers. The group is called West Indies Buccaneers and are based out of South Florida but will accept anyone who is interested in a serious Buccaneer presentation. I've told them about FTPI amd will see how much interest there is in doing a group presentation.

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform everyone that I will not be attending FTPI this year as well as the PIP Festival. Dure to recent serious health issues with my wife, Susi and other factors, I am officialy withdrawing my name from the participent list. Animal, I think you might need to get your coconuts checked or maybe your service upgraded to a shell phone. The new Fort Manager is relatively old news. As for inclinations, my understanding is that he’s pretty lackadaisical about the whole thing and was just particular about specific hoops to jump though - any issues ( if you can even call them that ) all got resolved earlier in the year. From everyone I’ve talked to, the Fort Taylor Pyrate Invasion is happening according to plan . . and the Pub already has it's tent space pick-out in the fort. I know Fayma has got her hands full just this moment - I'll see about getting more information. Sorry if I misspoke here. I just heard about the new manager and remembered the last time there was a change. I didn't see any info concerning the Invasion, so I decided to start a thread. I noticed that there is now an offical thead, so the admins can delete thhis if needed. Animal

I decided to start this thread for those who attend it. While my participation this year in PIP is still up in the air, this is for those making arrangements to be there can follow updates. First off, I hear through the coconut telegraph that there is a new manager at the fort. Any news on his or her views and inclinations towards the invasion continuing? We all well remember when the past manager took over, there were some questions as to it happening. Now is the time when people start making plans and plane/accommodations reservations.

Anyone going to this event, I have a condo reserved and it sleeps 6. Right now I'm in it all by my self. If another couple or indvidual wants in, it's $112.00. The more I get in, the lower the cost for the weekend. The condo is located right in the heart of the festival, so no having to drive. Just stagger or crawl to the room. Ok, I've really tried to get used to the new look. I Hate it. I really like to old Pub look. It was more warm and friendly and looked like a pub. I've been in some dives in my lifetime, but this looks too sterile. It has no soul or character to it. I really commend the person(s) who worked on it but it just doesn't do it for me. Animal
