  3. Aye, Twas a great event and had a fun time adventurin' with everyone. These events go too quickly and I wish we could spend more time chattin' up a storm (or through a storm of peanuts, mayhap)... Thanks to all for makin' it a gread weekend for me!
  4. Argh! So the rumours 'bout Saber and Dead Fred be true!!! Aye, that's what I get for procrastinatin' with Fred...left at the altar and all...
  5. Aye, An then the Poison Quill found a "volunteer" for the crew in Hampton, Virginia - where she and Saber had gone "recruitin'". The clumsiest, most awkward pirate aboard the Seven Seas (or Tales of the Seven Seas)... That'd be me - Privateer Pete. The one thing that saved Privateer Pete from general scourn for his crewmates was his uncanny knack of discovery and what others would call "luck". You see, Privateer Pete always tended to be at the right place at the right time. He accidentally discovered a technical problem on the Royaliste a week ago and helped alert Captain Gary to said problem. On Saturday last he was on a little "Shore Leave" and decided to try out a new lunch spot some friends raved about called "Hooters" (Good Buffalo Wings they said - aye, they had good wings, and good thighs, and errr, argh! Ye get the picture). Low and behold, Privateer Pete upon walking back to the Inn notices a ship in the water - it be The Royaliste itself! And in the distance he saw someone in a red outfit going into a rowboat (He knew that it could only be the deadly beauty of a Pirate Captain - Poison Quill, who was known for the red of her temperament amongst those who drew her ire). So, Privateer Pete was once again in the right spot and tried (although not too successfully) to help with anchorin' the rowboat to the shore. He missed sayin' "Hello" to Saber, but those be the breaks, eh? But Privateer Pete was glad to be one of the crew, even if he wasn't the best at tyin' down the riggin' and the important parts o' sailin'. He knew, though, that hangin' out with the crowd, that he would eventually learn all of that and would help where 'e could. In the meantime, he hoped his ability to "be in the right place at the right time" would be of help to his fellow pirates, includin' Captain Gary - who recently had befallen an injury (those sharks be tough beasts)...
  6. Ah, the Hampton Blackbear Festival. I went last year on a lark while explorin' nearby Williamsburgh and ran inta' Poison Quill fer the first time. Found out she an' Sabre were from me home area of San Francisco and ended up becomin' a pirate meself! There were some great merchants there whom I bought some good presents for for relatives... Twas loads of fun (even if the weather be poor), and highly recommended!!!
  7. Argh, Me roommate be gottin' a friend in LA who be rentin' out a whole theatre for the premiere! Cans't ye' believe it...and I'll be stuck goin' to New Zealand when the whole thing opens! Avast me poor luck!!!
  8. Argh! Twas' a great event ta be at, 'cept for that Tales of the Seven Seas Lassie wakin' us up at 4 AM ta set up the float. But, the float did float on the land, and a good time was 'ad by all. The on-lookers got ta' experience a pirate Christmas, and nothin' can beat that (ceptin' fuzzy pirate slippers...but that be on another thread we be discussin' those)...
  9. Don't mock a man for 'is fuzzy slippers...we all 'ave to have some guilty pleasure...and the deerskin n' fur feels nice 'n cozy on me feet...
  10. Aye, lassie... I love me fuzzy slippers. Bought 'em up Anchorage way a few years back...work well on me pirate toesies on them cool nights...('bout the only thing workin' on me pirate toesies...gotta' do somethin' about that now)... I'll sees what I can do about fuzzy slippers...

  15. Aye, That Lucky Penny (or is that Masochistic Penny) put a dent in the trunk o' me car on the way out. She hurt me poor car's feelin's...
