Aye. The hat I've been wearing lost it's shape and form and shrunk. I tried to stretch it but it didn't work.
I'll have to call hat supply later, and Townsend.
Thanks, guys. But keep the info coming.
~Lady B
Did you ever order your wide brim hat Lady B? If so, where did you order it from? Townsend or Hat Supply?

Took the whole family to see it Friday night. Everyone enjoyed it. It's not as good as Raiders or Last Crusade, but it is a very good movie. Loved the character interaction. The refrigerator was little much, but it was funny.

Strange, I was thinking about "Will Penny" just yesterday. A true legend of Hollywood. He had the ability to make any character larger than life.

Found interesting pics of Vasa cannon. Vasa cannon They are about 3/4 of the way down the page.
What is interesting is that the carriages do not appear to be made from solid pieces of wood. My guess is that the carriages are reconstructions.
Another reference is here A 17th CENTURY GUN AND CARRIAGE from the La Belle. The model is based on those found on the La Belle wreck.

Here links to pics I took of the cannon aboard the Susan Constant at the Jamestown settlement last easter. Hope they help.

Nope. I meant "hypoglycemia". Mine drops to 60 mg/dl or less sometimes. It's more of a possible indicator as my doctors have explained.

Christine,
Keep an eye on that blood sugar. I was hypoglycemic for years before the diabetes showed itself. I still get hypoglycemic and I don't take insulin. A glass of fruit juice and tablespoon of cake icing.

You that wreck is going to have some future marine archaeologist scratching their head. "We just don't know what to make of it."

The last hat blanks I got from JT had brims just over 5". I tried to make a Barbossa sytle hat with one of the blanks, but the brim was not wide enough. I ended up just making another tricorn (see pics posted earlier). However, next time I'll try using Kenneth's brim stretching procedure. Thanks for the advice.

I started playing in '81. I enjoyed being the DM. No ONE character for me, multiple NPCs. I still have more than edition of the rules and many miniature figures in boxes under my bed.
He sparked our imaginations and changed our lives. Salute!

I made this baldric last year. It's 2 3/4" wide and is loosely based on illustrations of period baldrics, frogs and sword belts. However, after reading BlackJohn's article, I’m making a sword belt like the French accoutrement belts.

I made these last fall for my son and I. Used an iron on stream setting. Worked great. The brims hardened as they cooled.
