  1. My top two choices to play Dr. Peter Blood (Errol Flynn is hard to replace). 1) Gerard Butler 2) Russell Crowe Of course the role will probably go to Tom Cruise; between him and CGI the remake will suck.
  2. Easiest way to Port O' Call village is, the 110 fwy to the Vincent Thomas Bridge and exit Harbor Blvd continue to 6th street and turn left; your there. I volunteer once in awhile on the brigantines and I plan on helping out that weekend. LAMI really needs bodies to run booths and etc; if you're interested goto www.lamitopsail.org
  3. On the good ship Venus By Christ you should have seen us The figurehead was a whore in bed Sucking a dead man's penis The captain's name was Lugger By Christ he was a bugger He wasn't fit to shovel shit From one ship to another And the second mate was Andy By Christ he had a dandy Till they crushed his cock on a jagged rock For cumming in the brandy The third mate's name was Morgan By God he was a gorgon From half past eight he played till late Upon the captain's organ The captain's wife was Mabel And by God was she able To give the crew their daily screw Upon the galley table The captain's daughter Charlotte Was born and bred a harlot Her thighs at night were lily white By morning they were scarlet The cabin boy was Kipper By Christ he was a nipper He stuffed his ass with broken glass And circumcised the skipper The captain's lovely daughter Liked swimming in the water Delighted squeals came when some eels Found her sexual quarters The cook his name was Freeman And he was a dirty demon And he fed the crew on menstrual stew And hymens fried in semen And the ship's dog was called Rover And we turned the poor thing over And ground and ground that faithful hound From Teneriff to Dover When we reached our station Through skillful navigation The ship got sunk in a wave of spunk From too much fornication On the good ship Venus By Christ you should have seen us The figurehead was a whore in bed Sucking a dead man's penis
  4. Plum Duff was served on Sunday aboard ships, if a ship didn't it was called a Hell Ship.
  5. I know there were some pirates operating off the coast of California during the Golden Age of Piracy, George Compton who sank the San Sebastian off the coast of San Clemente Island 1753 and Hippolyte de Bouchard raided the missions of Monterey and San Juan Capistrano in 1818, however, they are the only names I ever hear mentioned. Does anyone know of any other pirates during this period operating in the North Pacific off the coast of North america?
  6. I have started crewing on TallShips in my area, but no one is singing shanties. I'm looking for some really great shanties for the halyards, braces, and anchor so any or all ideas are welcomed.

  9. It's a great flick, really dark but most musicals are I completely recommend this film.
  10. I'm no big fan of Cutthroat Island, for years I have considered it the worse pirate movie ever, but then I saw the movie Black Swan. Cutthroat Island is the much better film, when you compare the two. True both films have a lead that can't act and Black Swan has a better plot, can't stand the fact everyone in CI is related, but CI is full of action and has real ships. Black Swan is slow, lacking action, and they use models. The truth is that CI is a really bad movie when compared to films like Sea Hawk or Captain Blood, but when it goes head to head with Black Swan it wins hands down.
  11. That version is very dark, and pirate punk is cool listen to Throwerag they were doing it in the 90's.

  16. Treasure #1- When PotC was originally opened the skeletons were real, they were obtained from UCLA, but they were replaced later on when Disney had the ability to make a convincing faux skeleton. Treasure #2- The anchor at Laffite's Landing, where you board les bateaux, is supposedly from one of Jean Laffite's ships. Treasure #3- The Cannonballs have left a secret Mickey in the walls of the fort.
  17. I love tea Earl Grey and English Breakfast are my favorites.
  18. I'm thinking of doing the same thing but I'm still in the pre-script stage. The biggest questions for me are plot, locations, film or video, props, getting my hands on at least two tall ships, and the budget. I'll let you know what if any solutions I come up with.
  19. Does anyone know where to get some pirate ringtones arrr.
